Not worth $60 [editline]09:45PM[/editline] Campaign is short and many of the levels have the same layout. Firefight is neat but it gets old fast, lot more fun with 4 people but still gets very monotonous. [editline]09:46PM[/editline] Not saying the game is bad, in fact it is awesome BUT it should be $39.99 for the amount of stuff that is in it. Maybe $49.99 but that is pushing it.
Meat is murder. Tasty tasty murder.
He's wrong. You can still jack vehicles.
He's wrong. You can still jack vehicles.
Yeah, he mentioned that he messed up on that part after he encoded and sent the video to me. I just forgot to put up a disclaimer about that. Thanks for the reminder.
can you use a knife?
Do you run faster with a knife?
can you use a knife?
u gonna anwser my question?
I found this game to be just something cheap. I mean what annoys me is the fact that the ODST are not supposed to be Master Chief so you can't be a badass in battle. Fine, I get that, but why can they still hijack vehicles the same way Master Chief can and can somehow pound the shit on the door of a Wraith with their bare fist and blow it up just like that like Master Chief can do? The campaign is incredibly boring with just running around an abandoned "free roam" city. I say free roam in quotes because they promised that it would be a free roaming game. Instead you get thrown into an abandoned city with a limited number of enemies as you slowly walk down a linear path to find out what happened to your squad. The only thing that's any bit interesting, in my opinion, is the Firefight mode that can be fun with your friends.
Though he said he just liked the halo series he did sound biased. I used to play Halo 3 all the time but after really looking at it I realized it is not so great, I went through a stage where I said Halo 3 is shit and everything Halo is too. But I do realized I had fun playing it back then but now it is not my cup of tea. I would get this if I still liked Halo, but I don't care for it anymore.
That was an ok review. The game is definitely not worth 60$ though. And it's pretty cool how you have to be tactical to play good, unlike halo 3 you jump around and spam grenades and melee the whole time [editline]03:55AM[/editline]
can you use a knife?
no you can't use knife

I'm gonna need to go to someone's house and try Firefight out for myself.
I lolled at my friend for spending £35 on a new campaign and a map pack.
Reminds me of GTA IV's Lost and Damned. Story is not as long as original, contains the original weapons from gta IV and same multiplayer + new stuff. But L&D is 20$ and totally worth it
I Bought ODST. Campaign was EXTREMELY linear, plus i noticed you can carry a Minigun/Plasma Minigun about 1.5x as fast as Master Chief can, but the only thing an ODST can't do which a Spartan can is Dual Wield 2 weapons. The ODST's can carry miniguns faster than Spartans, but can't Dual Wield 2 lightweight Pistols? Retarded i must say. But overall i think i like the game.

I heard that it was a disappointment.
I heard that it was a disappointment.
As a Halo fan I found it was fairly disappointing. Campaign was fucking awesome but was way to easy and short even on Legendary. The audio log story was cool but didn't add much, and firefight feels sorta tacked on. It's fun but has no real lasting appeal once you earn all the achievements, plus waves/sets take FOREVER and can only be played with friends that own ODST (which for me is a short list).
