Till yesterday it was all fine. I was riding my friend's motorbike when I fell from it and got a deep wound on my right knee. I spent 4 hours in the hospital and now I can't move my leg, and I feel pain all day. Sitting, walking and sleeping are very hard to do, I have to help myself with my other leg and I risk falling. All I want to say is that I was very lucky: I got off with just a deep wound on my knee, a broken cellphone and a bit of scare. But it could have been much worse. Just thinking back at what happened, I remember I rolled on the road surface instead of sliding and thats probably what saved me, along with the bike running away from me instead of crushing me. What impresses me the most is that when I fell, I just got up like it was nothing right after, and then noticed the huge blood stain on my leg. When I saw the cut I didn't faint, I was just scared and wanted to sit down. So what I just want to say is that when these things happen you don't expect them, and would never think about them happening, but when they happen the surface between life and death is gonna get very thin. I don't think I'm ever gonna ride another motorbike after this experience, expecially at a speed and in the dark. I'm gonna get well but I could have as well died. It's impressive how your life can change in a day.
This is deep
Wow, I never knew unexpected things happen in life. Thank you for this revelation.

You just have a wound that heals over time, people that were hit by hurricane Katrina got their life changed in a day.
Your life changed after a gash
I hear salt makes a great painkiller

A deep cut in your knee, so where was the protective gear that you should be wearing?
Are you going to become a nun or something after this life changing event?
What a touching tale.
adrenaline [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] I think
Yea, adrenaline will mask your pain no matter how bad. You WILL feel it once it goes away though.
The emotions I'm feeling are very deep. In my knee. My soul is wounded. In the knee.
I hear vinegar makes a great painkiller
Fixed
My dad's best friend got paralyzed in a motorcycle accident after crashing into a fellow motorbike enthusiast/friend who had parked in the middle of the road. A few years ago, he fell out of his wheelchair onto a knife he kept in his pocket and is slowly dying from a staph infection. That is life changing, go fuck yourself OP.
I was slowly getting a boner at the gash part.
My grandpa drove a motor cycle until he hit out of control semi and essentially ruined his back for life.
You act like this was totally random but you were driving a fucking motorcycle in the dead of night at speed.
You know, that can be done responsibly, it's usually irresponsible ones that end up having accidents like that. OP, you'd have probably been better sliding rather than rolling, while you may have lost layers of skin, friction on your body is less harmful than impact force. I had an accident once, where a car pulled out on me when I was going 60, near totalled my bike too, what did i do? as soon as it was fixed I got right back on it. Also, this teaches you to wear the proper protective gear, because if you had, you'd have likely come away uninjured.
I pictured House for some reason
