I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart would take the return if they were told there wasn't a game to begin with. I've had situations like that where I was taking something back and that returning it was said to be against policy, but when the product is non-working upon opening, they take it back anyway.

I feel I would be able to tell the disc is missing just from the difference in weight.

isn't it common practice for the retailer to show the contents of the box? the store where i buy my vidyagames at open it for you and show you the disc, manual etc. before handing it just to make sure

don't most stores keep the box and disc separate and when you bring it up front they put the disc in? although in the video he said they went into the back to get it
