Following the success of my first embroidery: [img_thumb]http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/3342/62333848.jpg[/img_thumb] (click here for original thread.) I work at a store that sells sewing machine and sewing machine accessories, serger machines and embroidery machines. While there I have a lot of down time, in which I do things like this. I was able to convert an image into an embroidery file, with the help of my co-worker, and put it on a machine to do this. I took pictures while it was stitching on my phone, but I am yet to be able to get it on my computer. I now present to you, the Facepunch logo, EMBROIDERED! (Click image for Larger version) I am open to ideas for a next embroidery to do, as long as it is appropriate, a nice image is given to use, and if I feel like it. I will now except my high member status :smug:
Simply awesome logo. Would have been awesomer if you stitched it yourself however Also cool that you get to do shit like that when it gets slow
:smugdog: embroidery please.

[editline]08:38PM[/editline]
:smugdog: embroidery please.
That has been asked alot but like I said, I need a good sized, smoothed out version of it.
I was able to convert an image into an embroidery file, with the help of my co-worker, and put it on a machine to do this.
That sounds like the best invention since sliced bread. So many fun things you could put in...physical form. :smug:
That has been asked alot but like I said, I need a good sized, smoothed out version of it.
I haven't had a reason to use adobe illustrator in a while, so I figured I would make some use out of it. Hopefully this is big enough for you, otherwise I included a photoshop compatible .EPS: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/smugdoghuge.png[/img_thumb] http://filesmelt.com/dl/smugdog.eps
Octo you should buy a camo jacket ,and stitch that on like a patch :D

The next time I ask for an image to be converted, im using this one. and yes, it is big enough, way too big. When I say big, it doesn;t have to be that huge, but it will still work.
Nice sewing sir.
Nice sewing sir.
Thanks. Also attention! The Smugdog has been done. It is the version of him with the sunglasses and I did it in a new style, cross stitching. Since it is pixelated (I didn't use the vector) each cross stitch represents a pixel (but it is enlarged) I will get pic, and make a thread tomorrow.
Since it is pixelated (I didn't use the vector)
:colbert: But it's cool that you actually did the patch. But why not just post the picture in here tommorrow, rather than make a new thread?
:colbert: But it's cool that you actually did the patch. But why not just post the picture in here tommorrow, rather than make a new thread?
Because I want to feel special:frown: but I get what you are saying, however, if I did post it in here, the thread would have a misleading title. I'll make an embroidery emporium or something for all of mine and for future ones to come. Also, I will probably use your vector still though. I think cross stitch ones don't look quite as good. So I hope to do the normal style with that.
