What's the pay?
You'd have to discuss that with them, but as I said, they're good guys and they aren't about ripping anyone off, I'm just middle-manning for them
You could do with describing even vaguely what they're about, what the project is, what industry level they're at, how much time/commitment might be req'd, etc.
As I said, I'm just middle man for them, I have no idea what they're doing, just a bunch of guys I knew in uni who asked if I knew anyone, told them I'd ask around not really a big deal
If they're serious then they will listen if you tell them to come here.
Yes, also you still didn't tell me what the pay was, tell me what the pay is.
I'll have to talk with them tonight, I don't know what the pay is and I don't know if they'd feel comfortable with openly stating as I think they're looking for someone more on a salary based pay, rather than a one off. I'll be going to their office tomorrow, so if I don't find out tonight I'll let you guys know for definite tomorrow
can i be the ideas guy, i have good ideas
can i be the ideas guy, i have good ideas
"hey ino let's judge developers because they have no artist and someone completely unrelated to the team asked on a message board if there's one about, they must be morons" - that's all you've got to go on I'm not talking about a group of uneducated kids, talking over skype and pissing about on unity. they're a newly developed team, yes, but all of them are experienced, passionate and busy. They mentioned looking for an artist and I said I'd post on a forum where i know there's an art section. They didn't specifically go, "post on FP for us please?" As I said, they're looking for a salary based concept artist who they can go to a few times a month with their visions and have the artist make it a reality. I said I'd have a nose around and that I'd pass on the artists details if I found one, really no big deal
Ok it's no big deal but didn't you consider the eventuality that someone might want to know ANYTHING about what you're talking about? :v:

Just got back from their offices, they told me that pay would be depending on the artist. Example - if the artist was in house (as in worked in the office) they'd be on £700-1100 a month, but there would be deadlines in place which you'd have to reach. You'd be expected to work 10-5, five times a week. Office is based in Bristol, England. but if it's a person out of office (online or whatever), then fees will be discussed with the artist, like a commission - so they'd pay you a fee you'd discuss per picture etc. Hope that answers questions. As I said, I'm NOTHING to do with the team so I don't know what it's about, it's under-wraps at the moment. They're not necessarily looking for someone with experience, but obviously it's preferred.
Seems like a pretty serious position to fill with a possibly inexperienced person who will recommend themselves (But good luck anyway)
I'm not sure this is the right place for a big job thing like that, have you tried conceptart.org? because all the people here who would have any hope of being adequate for that job would have a portfolio and whatnot there too
