Montreal police have arrested a man in a triple stabbing at a restaurant that left one person in critical condition on Thursday.
Two others suffered knife wounds to the head following the lunchtime attack which appears to have transpired in front of many horrified witnesses inside a restaurant.
Ambulance service spokesman Guy St-Pierre said the victim in the worst shape was a man in his 60s who was stabbed in the chest.
“The injuries are serious,” Mr. St-Pierre said.
The two other victims, both men in their 40s, sustained head injuries considered to be minor.
Mr. St-Pierre said all three were taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, police arrested a man in his 30s at the scene.
The stabbings took place inside a bistro on St-Denis Street, in north-central Montreal, not far from the popular Jean-Talon market.
At least one patron who witnessed the attack needed to be treated for shock.
Const. Yannick Paradis said police weren't immediately sure if the victims were patrons or employees.
There were others in the establishment and Const. Paradis said police will have to meet with witnesses.
Police don't have a motive for the attack.

Putain de merde.

Should have hurried my fucking order up then. Pricks.
There is no Canada like french Canada, it's the best Canada in the land!
The other Canada is an ass-hole Canada, if you lived here for a day you'd understand!
I think you'd understand...
You'd really understand...
You understand?
You understand.
Guess he thought the chefs just couldn't cut it.
I tried, don't hate me.
He ruined all the math.
wow such cutting edge news
If only he had used a pool cue...
"We have breaking news out of Montreal..."
At first I read "Prank at the bistro" and then thought "What kind of prank is a stabbing spree?
I find the thought of getting randomly stabbed pretty scary.
Panic at the Bistro sounds like an even gayer version of Panic at the Disco.
They sure got a stabbing suprise.
Okay okay it was lame. i tried :saddowns:
Woo, I live in Montreal too!
Lunchtime stabbings, never a good decision.
So he just stood up and started stabbing people for no reason?
I must admit that this is genuinely one of the best thread titles I've ever read.
