Even if we do shady shit that doesn't mean we shouldn't look after our own hides "because we deserve it."
Besides, it's not like Russia is doing this as some kind of just retribution against American imperialism. It's just Russian imperialism, which is arguably more dangerous.
I have to wonder how wide spread this sort of interference is, and for how long it has been going on.
To what extent have our politicians been influenced before 2008? I'd be surprised if at least a couple congressmen haven't been compromised at least once since the Cold War.
I doubt they ever found anything on Obama. The guy seems pretty much squeaky clean.

Oh definitely, I just meant from an Obi-Wan moral highground point we can't pretend we didn't do this to all of south america, and that it's part and parcel of international politics at this point.
