I don't know why these words are jumbled up-- they sound like just the right kind of fake Latin for a Satanic ritual.
Little Timmy sacrifices virgins. How many virgins does Timmy sacrifice to Baphomet? [editline]17th September 2014[/editline] Colour the pentagram
This is utterly adorable. I'm trying to find the brainwashing, but it certainly more cutesy-comical than anything.
Colour Me Satan! Now bonus Beelzebub stickers!
"Damian and Cerberus are trying to navigate this dark, dank labyrinth to find the fabled Necronomicon. Can you use your crayon to show them the way?" I was not making a cutesy joke. That is an actual page.
This seems more like an exercise in pissing Christians off, than anything serious. I'm sure it's working, too.
Honestly kind of want to join a church of satan just to see what these dudes get up to
Isn't the whole MO of this group to piss people off by doing innocuous things that raise suspicion solely because of the group's name/implications?
That cerberus page will somehow find its way into lmao pics and there's nothing you can do about it.
This is no less weird than the evangelical Christian activity books with oddball prophecies and theology in them.
Remember kids! Always brush your teeth and- PRAISE SATAN
Can anyone explain to me what Satanists actually believe in?
Can anyone explain to me what Satanists actually believe in?
They follow the Satanic Bible, written by a guy known as Anton LaVey (the founder of Satanism, and thus called LaVeyan Satanism after him) - Their basic beliefs are individualism, epicureanism, egoism, secularism, and self-deification, and they also tend to be firm believers in naturalism, Social Darwinism, and the principle of an eye for an eye (or Lex Talionis.) They also believe in the practice of magic, and mind you they don't actually worship Satan or any devils/demons - they use him more like a symbol because he represents everything their creed stands for. Denominationally, Satanism is an atheistic philosophy. They don't believe in any greater forces influencing how the world works.

I think the basic theory of satanism can be the worship of oneself as a deity, the individual. That's perhaps why. About the birthday stuff, I recall it reading it somewhere a long time ago, but I don't remember where.
Can anyone explain to me what Satanists actually believe in?
You get two main types, really, theistic and atheistic Satanism. Atheistic is what zonesylvania described, and theistic Satanism is legitimately all that worship of Satan and such.

A lot of people don't agree with LaVey's ideology.
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason. The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions. One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone. The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo your own. Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs. People are fallible. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it and resolve any harm that may have been caused. Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
I pinched these tenets from the Satanic temple's website, if anybody else is interested.
I pinched these tenets from the Satanic temple's website, if anybody else is interested.
Doesn't sound so satanic now.
One time on a gaming community, my religious beliefs were revealed to a superadmin who just happened to be a LaVeyan and she just went off about all the things Zone just quoted. Then she tried claiming that we all have a bit of Satanism inside us because I'm a musician and somehow that's a satanic thing because in mythology Satan gave humans music or some shit. And that I celebrate birthdays. I mean, sure, I guess everyone's got a little bit of Christianity inside them if they give sympathy and aid to the poor, right? [editline]17th September 2014[/editline]
Doesn't sound so satanic now.
yeah, the whole "satanic" label just seems to be an attentionwhoring gimmick.

So, quite no, I guess.
This seems more like an exercise in pissing Christians off, than anything serious. I'm sure it's working, too.
They only have themselves to blame, if i remember it correctly, the only reason satanist groups are ever able to do this stuff is by exploiting recently passed legislation that defies separation of church and state. example, Christian activists push to change legislation so that the law would now allow religious statues on government property - they forget that their religion is one of many religions- the satanists roll up to build a huge statue of Satan cuddling children.
Soo if you peel down superstitions regarding satanism long enought you get a very egocentric culture with some shizzle magic. Perhabs one day somebody redubs thing and it becomes something really basic and recognisable. "Yo man, you coming to stadium tomorrow? Nah, i gotta go praise Lava Horns with my parents a bit in this year, besides some chicks might show up"
The whole magic thing with LaVeyan Satanism is interesting because the Satanic Bible tells you right off the bat that the rituals are basically melodrama and that it's up to you whether out not you want to believe in it. The whole book is a really interesting read.
This is fucking amazing
Metal as fuck, I'd have loved one of these when younger. :v:
Now your kids can be edgy too.

This actually doesn't really seem like an effort to piss them off, it seems to try and show that Satanists have values a lot of people don't think they have, like compassion and patience and things like that.
I feel like most people reading this would want to (if only slightly) be an Satanist
