Not much to say that's not said in the video's info. It was all improv. From the moment we showed up to shoot to the final shot. I think it turned out ok. CC?
over acting. Try some color correction also. I like most of the camera work, it keeps you interested, mixed with the music adds to it. The shooting effects are pretty good, a lot better than plenty I've seen on youtube. Try to make the guns have some echo/reverb slightly and it'd sound like more realistic firing. Other than that, Its a cool video.
Thanks. The actors were un-experienced other than my other short film Copy Pants. Plus thye were running on my convoluted directions because I didn't plan the shoot out ahead of time (never doing that again) so I can't really blame them myself. I'm glad the muzzle flashes came out ok, it was my first actual attempt at them. There was a lot I wanted to add (reflection of the flashes in the glasses etc...) but I was just taking too long on the rest I decided to release it. I'll keep the echo in mind.
That was good fun, I liked it. The fist fight bit was sort of poor and awkward, though I liked the slap in the face, it looked unscripted.
Yeah the beginning of the fist fight I was trying to give them instructions. But after a while it felt so odd (as you can see in the beginning of the fist fight), eventually I just told them to go straight for it and really struggle. Hence the slap to the face.
