It was alright overall, but the color inversion on the cultist wasn't too necessary.
It's not great really, I'm not a film student so I can't explain in detail why I think so but constant handheld camera and constant closeup shots makes it somewhat confusing and very un-immersing. There's no atmosphere or tone established and the acting is pretty bad. That said, I have tons of respect for people who, even lacking skills and knowledge, actually go out and make something so criticism aside, good job.
I liked it, but if you gave it a little more of that silent hill atmosphere it would've been golden. But frankly that's hard to do on a limited to zero budget. You did great with what was available.
we tried our best to make it so Silent Hill likely as possible... well our film location is on the docks... and there where lots of people driving around and wanted to watch what we did.. but we tried  and the acting is pretty bad because we didn't planned this movie so much... we just improvised

I say this because it means you are reacting with natural tendencies. Once you have the ability to naturally flip on and off emotions, reactions, etc.. then you can really do great with a script. I personally would film toward dusk or early morning; preferably when it's extremely foggy. The harsh light from the afternoon sun can even make gloomy fog fairly thin looking. Now during early morning and dusk the light and atmosphere becomes extremely easy to manipulate and work to your benefit. Just play around with things and have everyone specialize in a specific side of filming. Have one guy focus on lighting/camera operation, another on editing, one on location, etc.
The main guy there has to wash his fucking hands, they're filthy. [editline]6th May 2012[/editline]
