Hey everyone, actually I am new to the forum.... I want to share my digital painting portfolio. Do you have a concise idea in mind as you start painting or does it come to you gradually as you develop and detail it?
Do you have a concise idea in mind as you start painting or does it come to you gradually as you develop and detail it?
Specifically this painting here.. I knew the big image of what I'm painting... some sort of a warm creature. But sometimes I don't know what I am going to paint, just throwing colors and as you said.. gradually develop it.. Anyway, when you have an Idea in mind at the beginning, the whole painting is much easier, and the result is much better in my opinion.
Which one of your portfolio pieces do you like the best? I really find a lot of them gorgeous, the light and color composition is really well done.

Yeah that one is really lovely, and so is your other digital work. It sort of confuses me that you have such a great grasp of composition and values but almost anything that involves humans and anatomically correct stuff is mediocre. By the way, you should make more [IMG] links. Your thread is kind of suffering from a lack of traffic. With your human and traditional art I can warmly recommend this thread. There are loads of people in there who will happily give you some critique on everything from technique, anatomy, tools, etc.
you have some serious perspective issues that become apparent in this http://www.amitsadik.com/portfolio/digital-paintings/speed-painting/ this http://www.amitsadik.com/portfolio/digital-paintings/if-venice-was-a-jungle/ this http://www.amitsadik.com/portfolio/digital-paintings/tonights-special/ well you can't do perspecitve at all on anything that isn't full organic. Just take your time with the perspective lines and such, trust me it's time well spent. Your techniques intresting, your themes are inspiring and your colours are lovable.
3v3ryb0dy and Kagrs you right. I found it much more easier to paint something that's not real, where you can't be wrong. I am not the best at drawing and sketching especially human related stuff, that's nothing I need to work on. Thanks for your critiques and happy you like my works :)
