Holy shit I hope you can actually walk around the subs like it shows
Holy, shit.
Don't tell me all that water is dynamic...
Probably just the water that's immediately around you.

I'm sure it would run on that computer.

You can. And we're finally getting back into German subs, instead of American ones.
maybe they can actually make it fun
Makes me want to install SH3 again.
Sinking a ship that's far away with dumbfire torpedo is very rewarding.
I want to get a SH game, 3 OR 4?
I only played 4, but I got some wheird graphical issues with that game. Like sailors would just randomly become 2d and flat. Fun game regardless.
I hope they make the missions more feasible; I was always getting stuff in the middle of the Atlantic...
I love Silent Hunter, but I couldn't run the last one on this outdated thing
Bit of a bumpage but this shit unlocks in 1 hour on steam!!!
Comes with the new wonderful Ubisoft DRM however! :(
Not sure how it's going to work out, might wait a few hours after it unlocks before buying it, see what other people say.
Can't believe I've heard nothing about this except for today.
*Edit*
Argh, testicles - Thought this was in the games section
There's very few videos of boats sinking.
It shows low quality shit being sploded, but that's it. I just want to see a montage of boats sinking, AFTER they've been hit. Just to see the awesomeness.
Would this run on Core 2 Duo E8500 3.2 ghz, Saphire Radeon HD4870X2 2GB, 4GB DDR2??
I run GTA IV on pretty high settings with an avrage FPS of 40 so this should also run, right?
Funny part is New Ubisoft DRM got cracked already
Finally, german U-Boats again! I didn't like SH4 very much.
Man i've had some great times in SH3, definetly getting this. My greatest moment was when my submarine had taken a direct shell hit on the side, and i sunk to the bottom of the ocean, which was about 30m deep as i was close to the coast. Sitting inside, looking at the depth meter just plunging down, until theres a big impact and cracking metal sounds is scary. After about 20 minutes of time skipping, i managed to repair the submarine to a degree that allowed me to surface.
Luckily, the cruiser that sunk me had left again. I heard it dropping charges in my area, but as my engines were too damaged to run they couldn't detect me. I got back to port and earned a big fat medal.
Pause at 1:45-1:46 Looks like NPC clipping.

Wow, low publicity. SH4 was highly advertised (compared to this). Other than the graphical tweaks, are there any major gameplay changes?
This slipped under the radar. So when we get sunk, do we get to see the water flowing in and slowly filling the sub (depending on the damage), or is it just an instantaneous "You died" screen that pops up?
Anyone hear ever played the ORIGINAL Silent Hunter? Because I remember... :P
I still have Silent Hunter 3 knocking around somewhere.
