A mystery lottery winner has until tonight to claim a £64m prize before the ticket expires. The EuroMillions ticket was bought in the Stevenage and Hitchin area of Hertfordshire for the draw on Friday, June 8. The jackpot is worth a cool £63,837,543.60. The National Lottery has been searching for the lucky holder through adverts and posters in the area, and even using a town crier proclaiming the win from a Lamborghini. The missing ticket-holder matched all five numbers - 5, 11, 22, 34 and 40 - and both Lucky Star numbers - 9 and 11. All lottery players have been urged to check their tickets and perhaps even search some of the more unusual places where "lost" tickets have been found in the past. Top spots where tickets have been discovered include down the back of the sofa, in a car sun visor and more unusually inside a tin of cat treats. Number one spot was in a bin bag that was about to be collected, according to anecdotal evidence from the National Lottery. If the prize goes unclaimed, the money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to the National Lottery Good Causes. "Our message is simple - we're urging everyone to look one last time everywhere a missing ticket could be hiding," said a National Lottery spokesperson. "We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings - this amazing prize would be a fabulous early Christmas present." Anyone who believes they have a winning ticket for any of the draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
oh man, imagine finding the thing in your trouser pocket/down the back of the sofa the next day :suicide: http://news.sky.com/story/1020804/euromillions-jackpot-winner-still-unknown
This reminds me of the first time I played the MegaMillions after turning 18. I had matched 3 numbers, but ended up binning the ticket thinking I had to match all of the numbers to win. Then I later went and looked at previous winners who matched 3+ numbers and won a nice chunk of money. Needless to say I felt so damn stupid.
In all honesty if I won THAT much money- nobody would ever hear from me again, the moment you start raking in the cash is the moment relatives you don't even KNOW start trying to be all "buddy buddy" with you. Needless to say I wouldn't want my name to be publicly announced by the media if I ever won the lottery.

I know in the states you can remain anonymous, which I don't see why anyone would go public. I'd disappear too; maybe get my own island with a house built on it, then invest a lot in various companies and have a financial advisor handle things. The only people I would tell are my closest friends and family; everyone else could fuck right off.
Men in suits would come and ask for a 50% cut.
That's still 32 mil.
That's still 32 mil.
Thanks I don't know how to split a number in half. Also depends if that 64 mil was pre or post tax
I still havn't checked my ticket for that one, however I don't live in Stevenage and Hitchin so I'm not hopeful. I did win £62 on it once, so maybe I've won something.
That's still 32 mil.
And even then, after depositing it in multiple accounts the amount of interest that would build up is unbelievable.
Thanks I don't know how to split a number in half. Also depends if that 64 mil was pre or post tax
Even after tax it would be over 10 mil.
Christ, could you imagine winning that amount of money, I wouldn't know where to start.
I would go about my daily life and slowly live more extravagantly. Buy a new car, thena few months later a new house and so on

I ain't sharing my winnings with anyone I didn't already decide to share it with before I won it at all.
