An Isis commander at a terrorist training camp north of Baghdad accidentally detonated a belt packed with explosives during a demonstration in front of a group militants on Monday, killing himself and 21 nearby trainees.
The accident was a source of dark humour for locals, with suicide attacks in public spaces having become an almost daily occurrence in Iraq.
A bomber struck a falafel shop near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baghdad last week, and when told of the bungled training demonstration by the New York Times, Raad Hashim, who works at a liquor store near the site of the bombing, burst out laughing.
"This is so funny," he said. "It shows how stupid they are, those dogs and sons of dogs."
On a more serious note, he added: "It also gives me pain, as I remember all the innocent people that were killed here.”
"This is God showing justice. This is God sending a message to the bad people and the criminals in the world, to tell them to stop the injustice and to bring peace. Evil will not win in the end. It’s always life that wins over death."
Another local told the newspaper: "I heard this today when my friend rang me in the afternoon to tell me about it. He was so happy as if he was getting married, which made me happy as well.
"I hope that their graves burn and all the rest of them burn as well. I was not happy with the number killed, though: I wanted more of them to die, as I remember my friend who was killed by a suicide bomber in 2007."
A further 15 people were wounded in the explosion, according to police and army officials, which took place at a compound situated in the northeastern Salahuddin Province.
The instructor was not named, but was described to the NYT by an Iraqi Army officer as a prolific recruiter who was "able to kill the bad guys for once."
Attacks on civilians have worsened since the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Isis), with US senior State Department official Brett McGurk noting that 50 suicide attacks took place in Iraq in November, compared with three in November 2012.
lmfao
One of these times where it's good that people die.
wwwooOOWWWWWW
Now they're just making it easier on us
I'm in no way for murder or the death of others, but fuck these guys.

Just watch, someone is going to find some shitty reason to criticize you
Get the popcorn and rate winner as people's limbs are torn off and their bodies are shredded by high explosives!
"Okay class. I'm only going to be able to demonstrate this once so pay attention!"

better them than them + civilians
-snape-
Well, I guess that one shitty Jeff Dunham joke came true

well, considering they were going to blow themselves up at a future date with MORE loss of life involved, then I'd say this is probably the best case scenario and giving a solid "sweet" over this is less serious than imagined.
This is like life imitating jokes.
Why would you even use live explosives for this
Well, I guess that one shitty Jeff Dunham joke came true
Which shitty Jeff Dunham joke?
-explosions saying something dumb-
They got what was coming to them, whether it was by their own hand or another's doesn't make it any less justified, just more entertaining.
I mourn the loss of the TNT, his soul purpose was to blow up things to help people and he helped us in ways he'd never have expected nor intended. But, it was as God had planned from the start, plus there's the 1,584 virgins left for me when I finally do get to heaven as a result of his sacrifice. RIP TNT.
Did they just report an old incident (even linked in the source)?

And I remember there being a thread of this.
Which shitty Jeff Dunham joke?
I remember he had a bit with the Achmed the Dead Terrorist puppet, teaching how to suicide bomb and 'practicing' for it.

there, it's near the end of that
not 100 percent accurate but whatever
Hasn't something like this happened before?
I'd say Karma is a pretty sweet and respectable person in this case.
I'm pretty sure this is a common occurrence for suicide bombers

I've tried hard to develop an attitude of never celebrating death as a good thing.
But god damn, that is some funny shit. If I make one exception to that attitude, it's the deaths of people who were preparing not only to kill themselves, but to kill a lot of innocent people at the same time. Ha.
I hope there was one slightly smarter guy in the class who was like "Uh, sir, I don't think you should have plugged that in yet-" *BOOOM*
Later that day, a couple shifty dudes walked into a bus station in Erbil, shouted the takbir, and hit the detonators on their harmless cardboard training vests.
Is this gonna be on the test?
Poetic justice
Burn in hell you fuckers, enjoy the 21 virgins OH WAIT THAT'S YOU GUYS LOL
explosions
no one cares what that tard says
get out of here
source: I'm a suicide bomber irl
Even joking, probably shouldn't say that shit.
It is too late
they are already on their way
Wow this isn't even the first time something like this happened. Why would you use live explosives for this anyways? It doesn't make sense..
