I will endorse boycotting for this company's products to people around me.
That is some of the most petty fucking shit I've ever heard "See that guy over there? You can't trust him, he's a slimy asshole." "Didn't you hire him earlier?" "*Autistic Screeching*" #FuckKonami
what a bunch of cunts.
How fucked up can you get lmao you work for Konami and no matter what they'll fuck you up and even try and prevent you from getting a job Even trump wouldn't be this scummy
I hate to be the one that might jinx it, but this actually makes me really worried for Bloodstained's success if Konami is known for behaving this way.
Hopefully the world will see them for what they really are, a bunch of childish assholes and they will end up crashing and burning to oblivion.
I used to love Konami and was a big fan of MGS and Castlevania back in the day, and to see them behaving like this just really breaks my heart.
:bullshit: That is just evil. It almost feels like those caricatures of evil companies. The very fact that they pursue and try to crush Ex-Kons from future work is just flat out abominable and cruel. I feel bad for them.

Thank god I bought MGSV before all this shit blew up, and thankfully nothing else is coming in the future that interests me.
I used to love Konami and was a big fan of MGS and Castlevania back in the day, and to see them behaving like this just really breaks my heart.
You know it almost makes me wish that this is a another case of the media scumbagging and konami is actually a victim of just saying stupid shit in mistranslation and bad luck but this is not be the case and that's shitty
It's like one by one they want to slowly alienate their fanbases. Castlevania, Silent Hill, Metal Gear. And then for added effect, alienate the people that made them those wonderful IPs. I miss MGS. I miss proper Silent Hill.
I hate to be the one that might jinx it, but this actually makes me really worried for Bloodstained's success if Konami is known for behaving this way.
Koji Igarashi left Konami in 2014, and they're not publishing it, considering most of the funding came from crowdfunding. I don't think there's any risk of bloodstained failing besides any petty retaliatory bs Konami could try to pull.
This has to be illegal. I don't know Japanese law though...
Konami is sounding more and more like a petty ex-girlfriend.
Why does it not sound like a coincidence that this all really begins to get unearthed and blown up after a new CEO steps in that has personal ties and interests in trying to legalize gambling in Japan and other questionable affairs?
I will endorse boycotting for this company's products to people around me.
What products? Pachinko? PES? Because I honestly don't know what else they churn out nowadays :v:
They're making some weird mgs zombie spin-off iirc.
Who the hell wants that? Seems like Umbrella Corps level of bad.
I think Konami would've wanted gambling to stay outlawed because Pachinko machines are designed to be gambling loopholes (kind of like claw games) that become redundant once gambling is actually legal.
It also means that those that service that industry exist solely in Japan. While Japan does have a strong favouring for Japanese-made stuff, they still have no worldwide competition to hear from. If it were to open up legalised gambling, that would change. Konami definitely wants it to stay the way it is, even better if it's poorly regulated since it means they may be able to use underhanded tactics.
What products? Pachinko? PES? Because I honestly don't know what else they churn out nowadays :v:
Arcade games. Lots of arcade games. (although they recently spun off their arcade operation into a separate arm called Konami Amusement because the main part is burning money hardcore)
Who the hell wants that? Seems like Umbrella Corps level of bad.
Konami's probably hoping that brand recognition alone is enough to sell whatever. AFAIK the only thing that makes it even remotely Metal Gear related is that you play as some MSF nobodies who aren't even in contact with Big Boss anymore.

What the actual fuck!? Konami is trying to destroy multiple people's livelyhoods just to piss on Kojima's cornflakes. That is one of the slimiest, corrupt and abusive things I've heard. What a bunch of psychopaths.
I am truly disgusted that Konami has become this tyranny that destroys any future of people that had worked with them before. I'm hopeful people are aware of the situation and just stay away from the company for hiring and even buying their stuff. My sympathy for the former employees that aren't able to get a new job thanks to these monsters.
I used to love Konami and was a big fan of MGS and Castlevania back in the day, and to see them behaving like this just really breaks my heart.
It really pains me too because they were my absolute favorite company back in the NES/SNES/Arcade days. Castlevania, Metal Gear, Sunset Riders, Gradius, Contra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games, Bucky O'Hare. Fuck, the list goes on...
Makes it seem like the whole Metal Gear Survive showcase was a trap for Kojima. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to pull this same shit but with a spin of him trying to take claim for some thing he didn't work on.

From the way it's phrased, it sounds like Konami basically does this to any former employees, Kojima just happens to be getting the focus due to being prominent enough and already having Konami's ire directed at him. This is some straight up yakuza shit.
