I guess this is a good thing in some weird way. They've played their hand, so to speak, and probably have lost a lot of legitimacy outside of their own core of extremists.

Well god dammit.

It's an action against a corrupted politician and his group of friends within the Ukrainian government.
You need to understand why they're doing this,
there's a group of former criminals and traitors in the government and he puts pressure on them at the same time while they're dying on the frontlines.
There's a lot of smuggling in Transcarpathia because it borders the European Union, corrupted politicians like these make money from this.

How about no.

You're getting really sentimental over something you're quite ignorant of.
They're not terrorizing any civilians.

Shitload of cigarette smuggling going on in there
Shitload of cigarette smuggling going on in there
Yeah and also weapons, the most worrying fact is how people instantly assume that Right Sector are terrorists.
Shows how easily people are manipulated and never do research on this type of news.
Lets see what UNIAN has to say
http://www.unian.info/politics/1099684-right-sector-on-mukacheve-local-gangsters-police-revenge-for-blocked-smuggling.html
Local police AND bandits worked together, threatend AND fired at Right Sector after they blocked their smuggling route.
This shows how horribly corrupted that place is.
Right Sector only wanted to do good for the country and take matters into their hands because Poroshenko is too much
of a lazy and greedy fuck to do anything about it.
And yet they get marked as "terrorists" by oblivious news sources and posters.

Hey, you didn't die so far, so just keep not dying and you're going to be fine.
Next maiden when? (oh thats right the maiden protests were carrying on till some assholes like these came along with guns and forced them away)
@ghost doesn't matter if "their intentions were good" Ukraine needs unity and solidarity. A bunch of thugs with guns shooting at police cannot be excused and will just serve to divide the nation further. Porohenko should never have let his rival politicans/oligarchs' private armies get this big in the first place. ITs a powder keg. They need to know their position in the hirachy, currently they are not accountable to the government and do whatever they like, swaggering around with guns, "arresting" people and threatening prople.

"Bunch of thugs", get out of here
The only thugs there are is that Medvechuk, Lanyo and their henchmen. Smuggling weaponry and cigarettes while Poroshenko just lets it slip.
If you want a country ravaged by criminal politicians for the sake of "unity and solidarity" you can go to Russia.
This is the people's will, other battalions support what Right Sector is doing. They're united enough.
Also, you do know that Right Sector wasn't really funded by any ogligarch? These guys literally only use cars and vans as transport in the conflict
because of their limited funding.
Yes a bunch of neo fash football hooligans and SS galizien LARPers who idolize a butcher of russians, Poles, and Jews could never be a bunch of thugs.
Also right sector has questionable ties to kolomoisky (both aligning over kolomoiskys struggle with poroshenko and their battalions working closely together), their headquarters in dnepropetrovsk is in the same RSA kolomoisky governed from until march, and Kolomoisky funds azov battalion and has politically apologized for svoboda (saying it moderated).
Right sector is far from independent, and has yarosh nominated as an army advisor and its legal status guaranteed by the interim government and Yatsenyuk in particular.
Corruption and oligarchy is a problem but these nazi boneheads aren't going to do shit about it. Oh, and amnesty has already accused them of abuses against civilians including torture, and they were the most violent and radical section of Maidan, they are terrorists.

I see that you just point out who it is rather than actually replying to what he said.
He makes good points but as usual, in typical facepunch fashion, people just brush off what he says just because of the fact that he supports the Russian side instead of the Ukrainians.
The fact of the matter is that these guys are not good. It's nice seeing someone care about their country but neo nazis are never good in any situation.
Right Sector are really a bunch of delusional extremist assholes

They're literally issueing orders to open fire if they are threatened to be disarmed or arrested, and be ready for full war against Poroshenkos government.
I really do not understand how someone can defend these pricks. If they follow through with what they're saying then they're terrorists, plain and simple.

Using their own site to defend them. Of course they won't lie about themselves, how could this be possible?
I like how those with opposing views are mostly american, like how the fuck can you be confident in your knowledge of something shady and halfway across the world? I think I'd rather hear what those living in and around this country have to say, not some angry teenager from a completely different country.
:v: well actually I guess no ukrainians are really representing either, but I'd like to hear what someone from portugal has to say as opposed to someone from the US lol, we don't even know what's really going on in our own country let alone foreign ones.

I don't know if this is a joke or something, considering Ghost656's Flagdog shows Portugal?
I'm polish & rusyn and I'm pretty sure ghost is romanian. Flag dog doesn't mean all that much, especially since there are so many ex pats in America.
How long until Russian troops start massing at Ukrainian border?

They are literal Nazis. If they declared war on Hell, I'd advocate sending arms shipments to Satan's legions.

So uh, corrupt neo nazi funded by a corrupt oligarch vs corrupt politician?
Yeah, seems like another day in Ukraine.
Ukrainian media already deemed pravy sektor "funded by Putin".
And what exactly makes them nazis? No really I'm genuinely asking.
Loving neo nazi insignia, believing in supermancy of Ukrainian race (I wish I was kidding) and often praising nazi germany (tho I don't know how common that belief is among them).
This page has a set of links to videos of stuff pravy sektor does. It has members and leaders. Not only pravy sektor, but still.
http://www.anti-maidan.com/index.php?p=news&id=24
They love screaming "Moscovites onto knives!", using nazi salute, praising stepan bandera. Some antisemitic stuff has been said in press a few times, but it doesnt seem systematic.

Right Sector can legitimately trace itself to the old Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which was basically an anti-semitic nationalist group that collaborated with the Nazis. One of its constituents is the Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists, which was formed by Ukrainian emigres that actually served in Bandera's army in WW2. Another constituent, Ukrainian National Assembly, was founded by the son of Roman Shukhevych (who commanded Bandera's army) and fought in Chechnya and Abkhazia against Russia.
They also adore Azov and, along with Svoboda, share a lot of symbolism with them (especially the wulfsangel)

Yes yes Ukrainian Nazis.
http://ukraineatwar.blogspot.nl/2014/11/nazis-in-azov-battalion.html
There is a possibility that Nazi flag was edited into the photo after it was taken, though it was uploaded by a nationalistic member of Azov who is an open Nazi, so that can explain why this picture spread so far. It's been edited over and over again and I don't see it honestly as them being Nazi's, it looks like they just took the picture for fun.
Now on the other side of the conflict, the exact same symbolism and racism exists.
http://ukraineatwar.blogspot.com/2015/06/nazis-are-core-of-russias-hybrid-army.html
I gotta hand it to Gennady Dubovoy. Without him, there wouldn't be an interesting chronological timeline from the Russian side.

Here is his photo album of a Neo-Nazi ritual.
And another note is this is the same unit of the Neo-Nazi dog killer from Moscow.

Both sides are stepped in shit. It's just they now want to fight over the shade of shit.
What would be great is if both sides just said fuck it, because in the end what is the fighting between Ukraine and Russia really going to benefit? No one.
