The problem isn't necessarily the long silence as he thinks up a response, because he was asked a genuinely complex question, it's the fact that after all that time the only thing he had was a canned PR response about how they made "a lot of progress" working with "partners to combat extremism".
i don't know why but i think this stage was lit almost like an SNL set or something. my brain got really confused at the beginning
