Man sets California GameStop on fire - Polidicks

[release]ROSEVILLE — A fire has reignited inside the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville where a SWAT situation took place Thursday afternoon. The thick, black smoke was visible as far away as Sacramento on Highway 50. Watch live, continuous coverage from FOX40 News THIS IS A FOX40.COM BREAKING NEWS ALERT. OLDER STORY FOLLOWS BELOW: A man will face arson charges after setting fire to merchandise inside a video game retail store at Roseville's Westfield Galleria Mall Thursday morning. Around 10:30am Thursday, authorities were dispatched to the GameStop store in-between JCPenney's and Sears inside the mall after receiving a report that a man walked into the store, shouted for everyone to leave and then lit merchandise on fire. Employees told FOX40 News the man appeared to have a weapon and kerosene. Live video from the scene showed smoke billowing from the mall. Authorities said the fire's spread was slowed by the emergency sprinkler system inside the mall. There were earlier reports of gunfire from inside the mall, but authorities say the sound of gunfire was actually a window breaking from within the mall. The suspect was taken into custody shortly after 12:00pm. An ambulance was called in for the suspect after it appeared he was suffering from smoke inhalation. Paramedics rendered aid to the suspect, who has still not been identified, and determined he was healthy enough to be released into the custody of Roseville Police. Nothing new in California, something is always burning.

Usually cars and fire hydrants though.

I live close enough to where this happened (about 45 minutes away) that it's still in the news. The fire is actually still burning in some places and a lot more than the Gamestop was damaged. There's a massive (like [i]massive[/i]) hole in the roof and a bunch more damage in addition to that. It actually really sucks 'cause it's the only decent mall anywhere near where I live, even as far away as it is.

Good. They deserve it for labeling games that came out of a drawer as "new".
