Oh lovely cnn
LOL the fuck CNN.
Wow, look at them dislikes.
To be fair, this is information I wanted to know. People are taking it as a threat against Donald Trump, but designated survivors are a thing. It's pretty tastelessly presented, but it's interesting nonetheless.
Wow, look at them dislikes.
Look at those comments lol. It was in poor taste but this isn't a call to assassination.
I am so confused, this video is bad because: ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I am so confused, this video is bad because: ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I said CNN was lovely <3 :smug:
I don't think it's in poor taste at all, or a threat. It's interesting to know what would happen given crazy circumstances. Educating people and educating yourself shouldn't be seen as a threat lol
Was that posted on r/the_donald or why is it showered in dislikes and the typical online trump supporter comments? I didn't even know about a designated survivor, this was interesting. Edit: Oh yea this is like reposted countless of times there. No surprise the r/the_donald brigade is in full force.
I thought it was just a catchy TV show name.
Look at those comments lol. It was in poor taste but this isn't a call to assassination.
Yeah, it's not. But something about CNN's wording just brings out the worst in everybody :v:
I said CNN was lovely <3 :smug:
i was referring to the youtube comments
I said CNN was lovely <3 :smug:
If you're trying to be slick, you're being anything but.
I thought it was just a catchy TV show name.
The Netflix TV show is based around the real concept of the designated presidential successor: There's a Presidential line of succession that goes down the list of Cabinet secretaries and leaders in Congress, but at the inauguration (where all of those people are present), one of the Cabinet secretaries is somewhere very far away so that government can continue on, in case of an attack that kills everyone at the inauguration. The show Designated Survivor is an imagining of what would happen if a terrorist attack wiped out everyone at the inauguration, leaving the designated survivor to become President. [editline]20th January 2017[/editline] I am honestly surprised that I, as an Australian, know about the designated presidential successor, but many Americans do not know about them.
I don't get the dislikes, I thought it was about something actually tasteless like a huge VFX explosion for demonstration purposes

The way they worded it makes it seem like a disaster happened but it's actually pretty interesting to know who the designated survivor would be. They do the same thing during the State of the Union Address every year.
When I first started watching the video all I could think about was if they ever talked about this before the TV show aired. Guess they didn't really think about it until the show came out and then looked to see if it was a real thing? 20/20 did a designated survivor thing, probably more in depth too. TV show is pretty good though. Get's better as it goes on.
To be honest, this would be good to know for any american. Trump being as divisive as he is means he has a target on his back for some crazy lone wolves or a group. [Note: This does not mean I condone assassination.]
I still don't understand why people are so riled up about this video. So, CNN is educating people on what would happen in the worst case scenario, and people are taking it as a threat or a request or an expectation for someone to assassinate Trump??
and people are taking it as a threat or a request or an expectation for someone to assassinate Trump??
It's the crazy alt-right narrative of the new world order plotting to assasinate their god-king Even though it makes no fucking sense as to why they would give not-so-subtle hints in this case
I am so confused, this video is bad because: ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Its really fucking weird though.
That designated survivor? Bernie Sanders. He can still win it.
"In case of fire, use extinguisher." "FLAGGED FOR INCITING ARSON."
I'm literally scared that An assassination of Trump will set off a civil war.
I'm literally scared that An assassination of Trump will set off a civil war.
It won't, if it happens. Worst case scenario it's a minority and race relations are set back 50 years. [editline]4[/editline] What I mean by minority is pretty much who isn't a straight white male moderate or left leaning male. (Hate using that term, but it's true) If a woman does it, goodbye feminism. If a liberal or someone on the left does it, hello suppression of dissenting opinions. If someone of non-white skin color does it, goodbye race relations for that particular race. If someone who is LGBT does it, goodbye LGBT rights.
How do you know?
I don't know. I cannot predict the future but I can say that the US Government would quell and attempts of domestic terrorism.
-snip- What I found out was more of a glitch than it's intended function.
