We just recently moved in to our new house, and as I was unpacking some of the really old boxes, I came across this sling/pouch thing. I'm not entirely sure what it is, and I've just been using it as a dump pouch for airsofting, but I'm now curious to what it really is meant for.
Front and inside of cover flap.

Can FP help me with identifying this?
Find the 'made in china' logo

Looks like a canteen holder?

I actually was looking for a tag of some kind, but there's nothing besides a bunch of faded black markings.
The gold bit looks like it's going :0
I believe it's old

That looks amazingly awesome
This looks like a military gas mask pouch or something, what does the markings say?

If you mean the pouch, it definitely is. It has like, four or five small pockets on the inside of the pouch and the flap, so it's pretty versatile. It's even got two belt loops on the back of the pouch, which is pretty handy.
You have no idea how much I want this. Seriously.

I like the Land Rover in the pic
It might be a radio bag. Radios back then were huge and bulky.
It's called a satchel, Indiana Jones has one.
really old boxes,

God damn Nostalgia is going to have that tune stuck in my head now.

It's not a pouch, it's a purse.
Olol ok.
Looks like some kind of military equipment to me
Looks like a canteen/grenade pouch to me. I used a similar one with an M85 combat vest while serving as a conscript. Except ours had three pockets in the front designed to fit AK series assault rifle magazines. I don't know if it had an optional shoulder strap thought, probably not.
Is this what general discussion has come to? Talking about pouches?
Am I the only person who noticed this before anything else?

Is it a discovery 2? or just a disco?
I'd identify it as a pouch
It looks like an old military waterpouch. ment for holding your waterbottle.
Back when they used only green clothing, and no camo textures on it.. perhaps it's from around 1950 (maybe WWII)
somewhat like this perhaps?
