Van Buren police said Derek Parker was stopped in the westbound turn lane of State Highway 59 North and Rena Road at about 6 p.m. when he was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Flora Burkhart. Investigators said Burkhart not stop, so Parker called police and followed her home at 1700 Elfen Glen Drive. When police asked Burkhart why she left the scene without stopping she said, "I left because I didn't want my ice cream to melt." Burkhart also explained that she didn't think there was enough damage to the vehicles to call police. Burkhart was issued a citation for following too closely and leaving the scene of an accident. I was expecting much worse, like her hitting a pedestrian and fleeing. Still pretty dumb though. At least nobody got hurt I assume.
But I agree, when ice cream melts it gets your hands all sticky and shit :v:
That's a very good reason thawed out Ice Cream can be deadly.
And I robbed a bank because making money is way too time consuming.
I robbed a bank because I wanted to buy all the ice cream before it melts.
The police clearly has no idea of the horrors of thawed ice cream...
