No words
It's almost like he tripped in the middle of a swipe, then got wrecked on the ground. It was almost too easy for McGregor. but then again, Aldo was avoiding the fight for a long time. Still I got a good laugh out of it, and i'm not going to work now.
There's gonna be tons of drunk Irishmen running around Vegas tonight. Felt bad for Aldo after the fight. You could tell he was bawling
Fuck me, wanted Jose to win, but that was one beautiful knockout. Two new champions in one night. What a great card.
I think it'd probably be in the UFC's best interest for Conor to fight Frankie Edgar next and if Conor wins, they can hype up the inevitable rematch if Jose doesn't decide to retire or move up in weight. A champ that gets dominated during a title fight shouldn't get an immediate rematch and it's a damn shame they're probably going to do that with Ronda.
Can't find a video of the slow replay but the punch was so well calculated and to Aldo's credit he managed to connect a hit even as he was going down.
Kinda wanted Aldo to win/feel bad for him due to the excessive smack talk from McGregor but I guess he just wasn't ready at all.
wow he looks like he was a little too excited
From the stills, it looks like Connor hit him square in the jaw just as he was about to swing out, and he hit the ground afterward.

Saw this at a friend's house, felt basically like "that was it?" and started laughing for such a hyped fight. Imagine spending months of intense training to basically end in the first 13 seconds.
Aldo played into Mcgregor's hands for the entire year-hype. Mcgregor had him from day 1 and anyone could see that Aldo was rattled.
The way they stood in the cage, Mcgregor loose - not a care in the fucking world, he knew he was walking away from that fight with the belt. Aldo - head down, staring at the mat, no confidence, almost shaking.
Incredible scenes. A whole decade undefeated to be knocked out by one punch. Honestly, doesn't deserve a rematch until he goes out and proves he can do it and get his head over this humiliation IMO.
I was backing aldo a lot and don't mind a loss. But that wasn't really fun. A win is a win but McGregor even said they both deserved to actually go a little longer.
Rematch? Rematch.

Well maybe after Frankie gets his turn.

aldo always stares at the mat though, every fight
$60 for a single punch after 10 seconds? Good lord PPV is such a scam at times, I'd be pissed if I ordered and all I saw was just that.

Not really there was 5 fights on the main card and 12 overall.
If you want to see 40 minute main events go watch wrestling where they can control that.

For a lot of people seeing those 13 seconds up close would be the fuel for a sweet as fuck night out.
I was kinda scared, seeing McGregor go down would be like seeing my nation's Santa get punched out.

My take on the thing.
Someone asked me yesterday at work if I was gonna watch the fight. I told him no. Apparently I lied. I just watched the whole fight by accident. Wasn't exactly a big time investment.
Was so excited when I saw this. I was literally on the floor flailing my limbs around and screaming with my mates in disbelief.
Made a sweet 200 quid from betting on Connor and Luke Rockhold. I also bet that the fight would go the distance but that was a small one. Although I do wish we got to see a longer fight, but that knockout was beutiful. As someone above said, Aldo was broken before the fight started.

You should watch it more, it's a pretty exciting sport.

And the defense should be in Croke park in Dublin so I can go and see him live. Stoked.
Wanted Weidman and Aldo to win, needless to say I'm disappointed. Would like to have seen the Aldo-McGregor fight go longer, might have gone differently but who knows. One punch is all it takes to completely change the fight and we've seen in the past like Cain vs Dos Santos where Dos Santos tko'd Cain the first fight and Cain proceeded to dominate him the next two. We will see when there is an inevitable rematch
I dont really know anything about the sport, but why was it over as soon as he hit the ground? Is there not some sort of period of time you have to be dazed and on the ground to be considered out? And how come it was just a single match/round?
Jeez. That fight lasted for about as long as it took you to read this comment.
One-Punch man is real!

That fight still lasted longer than me in bed
Great card, lame fight.
Wish it would've dragged on and we could see the absolute monsters these men are

He didnt put his hands up or anything as he started getting hammerfisted on the ground by connor. Cant really recover from that easily and cant let that go on for too long i guess for the risk of injury.
