But the reviews and clips are pretty great. Facepunch has Partridge fans right? Has a pretty big The Thick Of It following so I always assumed there were a few of us lurking about. Anybody seen it yet? Thoughts? I'm seeing it tomorrow and I'm dead excited. Converted somebody into a Partridge fan just so I had somebody to come see it with me. Going to go with a Toblerone. And I don’t mean a small one. I mean a medium-sized one.
going to see this tomorrow, my wee brother saw it the other day and said it was good
The movie is ruddy bloody brilliant. Really funny, I was crying. Also RIP [sp]Michael[/sp].
This looks brilliant. I hope those trailers aren't showing all of the best jokes though. there's more.. right?
The trailer actually has the worst bits. There's two brilliant scenes with Michael, where he steals the show. Alan gets a lot of amazing one liners in that are nowhere near any of the marketing material. If you enjoy the show I'm Alan Partridge you'll adore it. Even non-Alans might like it. [editline]10th August 2013[/editline] Actually now I think about it. What happens at the end of the film is almost a continuation of the "I threw my monkey in the sea" gag from the series. Or the "crash my helicopter into the sea" from the second series.
Saw it the other day. So, so funny.
absolutely hilarious start to finish
[sp]THERE'S NO FOG[/sp]
Best line: [sp]You're like a big Geordie Anne Frank[/sp]
Saw it last night, really funny. The trailer made it out to have quite a lot of action in it, but it doesn't really (something I'm quite glad of).
Yeah I was really glad to see the action scenes were all in one scene and were an extravagant set up. Jason Argonaut
Going to see it soon, can't wait.
Still thinking about it all this time later. It's classic Partridge in the sense I can still mentally visualise entire scenes just by reading a quote. "Banged Up Abroad" just set me off laughing. Saw it last night because we missed the showing of World's End at the cinema, absolutely loved it.
I've not seen Worlds End yet but I've heard Partridge is funnier. Funniest film of the year according to a lot of critics.
Can I go see this without being a major fan of the show?- I've only seen two episodes ever, but I liked them and there isn't anything else on. I probably will be lynched for saying that
No you'll get it. I only showed my niece 4 episodes and she laughed hysterically all the way through. Aslong as you liked the show you'll like the film. All the episodes are on Youtube anyway I think..
It's probably worth watching a couple more episodes to get into it a bit more but you should enjoy it anyway.
Neil Diamond - King of the Jews. The joke that made me laugh the loudest and made everyone look at me like I was some kind of weirdo was when Alan was pretending to be a Nazi. The glove slap just totally caught me off guard.
SPOILERS BRUH
It was alright, felt like it should have been on the telly.
Why were Alan and Dave acting like friends? Dave attacked Alan in a car park, and had an epic battle on a bouncy castle. Plus they've always hated each other.
I wouldn't believe the car park or bouncy castle story. Just bullshit he's spewing out to make his life have some form of antagonist. Didn't really notice them talking as friends. Don't remember them talking beyond the jingle scene. Also I can't remember but was [sp]Dave on the wall at the end or did I miss him?[/sp]
They were talking after the jingle scene, somebody had to tell them to shut up. I thought it was really strange. And yeah, he was.
Ah good! I didn't notice that. Cup of beans?
where should i leave the cup?
Who are you talking to
where should i leave the cup?
Just leave it on the step
