God is dead

When they announced they'd be aliens I was just cracking up. The fucking name is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. How can you manage to fuck that up so much and think no-one would be bothered ahahaha how do these people even get hired
So now they're Teenage Ninja Aliens?
Probably not going to stay as teenagers for long anymore either.
Can't wait for Scooter Rats from the Moon Live action movie.
Which turtle will be thinly veiled racist stereotype of black people? Only time will tell.

Nice preview photo from the movie - Michael Bay sure knows how to make his CGI look convincing
For them to fuck up such a classic so severely is so fucked up to the point that its laughable
Sad that most teens and kids won't mind because TMNT is pretty old now.
so what is the point in making them aliens? what does it add?
I facepalmed as I read that. Micheal Bay ruining my childhood memories with shitty reboots.
I recall reading on some official website that they were still normal turtles, but it was alien ooze from Dimension X that turned them into mutants.
is that not the case anymore?
they SERIOUSLY came from an entire planet of ninja turtles?
they SERIOUSLY came from an entire planet of ninja turtles?
Nah man, they come from an entire planet of turtles, they just happen to be ninja teenagers.

OH.
IT'S A MOVIE.
I thought it was referring to the new animated series that's gonna be on Nick in the Fall...
that's what I get for not following the link, I guess V:v:V
oh, this is even WORSE, NAH MAN, FUCK THIS SHIT.
Now, which characters will embody which Michael Bay movie stereotype?
Starring Megan Fox as April O'Niel.
The Turtles will now be joined by their new, awkward teenage pal, Jimmy. The turtles try to live in Jimmy's garage and WACKINESS ensues!
They get the entire original cast back to voice the turtles, except for Raphael. Instead of being voiced by Rob Paulson, he is now voiced by Liam Neeson.
It's a shot-for-shot remake of the first turtle movie, but now the turtles are more brown (to be more realistic) and the story focuses on the exploits of April's Boss's son for the first half of the film.
And of course, it is revealed that the US Government knew about the turtles ALL ALONG. The President thought that there was no such thing as aliens, but as some guy in a suit or labcoat says, "that's... not entirely... true." It turns out that the Turtle's source of ultimate power (a Pizza with untold power) is hidden under the Liberty Bell.

Fox and Bay had a falling out, so you can at least not worry about that.
oh yeah, just looked up the new animated series on Wikipedia...
Michaelangelo? he's voiced by a professional surfer.
sounds pretty radical.
ALSO, buying the shit out of these:

Has anyone else remember this?
So, does that mean Master Splinter is also going to be an alien?
I already know this movie won't be that great, but perhaps slightly fun to watch if only for the fight scenes.

No man, fuck that show.
The 1980s cartoon was superior.

I dont believe this until i see some production sets or something. Plus i dont wanna believe that my childhood is going to be ruined.
Bonus: I still have my old Ninja Turtles action figures

fuck yeah, that was the most badass themesong...
I remember, I was just a kid when that premiered.
my little brother was gonna be born any day, when I asked my dad to take me to Toys R Us, because I had to get me some effing turtles.
I just wanted Leonardo.
[sp]he gets me all of the turtles AND the Battle Shell (the 03 version of the Party Wagon)[/sp]
and it was only in recent years that I realised, he bought me all that shit just so I wouldn't feel overshadowed by the new baby.
fucking memories man, that Leonardo is sitting on my dresser.
[sp]and apparently a mint one is worth around $77 on Amazon.[/sp]
[sp]so you better believe I'm getting dupes of those classic version figures releasing in Fall[/sp]
but they've said they'll make more of the "Classic" series figures if they sell well.
I'm buying the shit out of them, hopefully we'll get a classic Krang.
Also in the vein of ruining things Ninja-Turlte related, here's something you can't unsee!

The first live action TMNT movie was probably my favorite.

But, my soft spot still lies with the reruns of the animated cartoon on the USA network in the early 90s.
Why? It's MUTANT turtles, not ALIEN turtles!
Will it star Shia LeBoeuf who plays a pointless role and shouts "LEONARDO!!!!" for no apparent reason every 30 minutes?
The only thing that could possibly save this is if Corey Feldman played Donatello.
Though, if TMNT could survive that fuckawful Coming Out Of Their Shells Tour, it can survive anything.
Aaaaand boom goes the childhood
Oh you all know you'll watch it at some point out of morbid curiosity. It might even be decent, however unlikely that seems. I agree though, changing it to aliens is dumb.

Have to disagree with you on that. I grew up on the original, so it'll always hold a nice little nugget of nostalgia in my heart...but I liked the newer cartoon better.

You say the first one was your favorite then show a shot from the second one...? But I have to agree, the first movie was better than the second. I never even watched the third.
Man, I was like 7 or 8 when I watched any of them, what the fuck do I know?
I only saw clips of the new cartoon recently.
