I'm playing a festival this coming weekend, it's pretty big.
My bands played plenty of clubs around the town and I've had the normal pre show nerves, but has any got any tips and how to deal with nerves before playing a pretty big gig?
It doesnt effect my playing but I'm more stiff and cant loosen up when playing bigger shows.
Also if any one has any good gig stories maybe we could share them here?
This sounds cliched but you'll never have a good gig unless you have nerves. Above all don't get too worked up, enjoy it.
Don't turn up an hour late and act like everything's cool :colbert:
Have one or two beers before you go onstage, warm up, massage your hands and arms, remember ear plugs, be well rehearsed, tune, have your kit ready, and try and pretend you're having fun :v:
Have fun. If you play the wrong notes/mess up, just keep chugging on. Chances are you may be the only one who noticed anyways.
Well, Sid Vicious used to slash his chest with a razor and do some coke before going on stage, maybe you should look into that.
Just got back from the gig still kinda drunk
everything went great, sound was good crowd was good
met a couple of bands and such
my whole band was so energetic, t'was amazing
If any videos come up ill post them on here
thanks for the tips dudes!!
