So, we got school every second or third weekend. I'm just wondering, is this the only college that does this? Because it's fucking annoying. Worst part is, it's usually something really boring. No drinking either. What the shit?
In France, school is every day but Sunday.
A couple of my engineering friends have labs on sunday nights too.
In Canada, we have none of this weekend school.

+1 for Canada.
Australia, school 5 days a week, and if you're in year 12 you have as many frees as you do lessons
Some people at uni in NZ get entire weekdays off.

Your profile says Denmark, I'm pretty sure no drinking is against your constitution

My schedule is worked so I have two days off, two barethread (in terms of classes and lectures) days, and one day which goes from about 8am to 7pm.

Is this at a secondary or tertiary level?
Because here there is a great deal of drinking, all day.
Of course, it is Australia.
Get expelled :downs:
No weekend school in NZ that I know of. One study period, but computing counts as a second study period for me. :)
UK, my school has Saturday lessons (but we also get free periods, and I'm lucky enough to have a completely free saturday!)

Optional, I've done weekend uni courses before
You know, the drinking doesn't seem nearly as problematic, as you're making it out to be. Do they give you breathalyzer tests or something?
A couple of papers have weekend field trips, but otherwise I don't think we do in New Zealand.
But be that as it may, I'm doing a visual arts degree, so periodically I have to go without weekends for awhile as I complete our massive workload.

Except on one day it's a half day, isnt it?
No such thing as weekend school here.
Weekend school should be against the law.
I didn't come to love weekends until I was working 20 hours a week on top of uni and homework. I can't imagine having my saturdays taken off of me.
We have to come into school during the fucking holidays!
I'd of happily given up Sunday off for Wednesday or something when I was at school. Breaks the week up more, and Sundays are boring as fuck usually.
what's school?
Glad so see i'm not the only one atleast. Fucking hate this. Worst part is, we're in school 10 hours saturday and sunday.
haha, weekend school. :v:
Arizona seems to have given up on it's youth. We have school never.
Good thing we don't have that here. I don't even have school on Fridays :smug:
[sp]Most people do though[/sp]
I'm only Monday-Thursday with 3 day weekends and I do Aerospace Engineering.
College is even better, I'm barely there.
Finally Australia has a plus
I wonder what the earliest meeting times in schools of any nations are..
I feel sorry for French school goers.

Probably Simuhana in China, because the +8 timezone is uniform across China.
Walk about three miles to the east, and the timezone shifts backwards 3 hours.
So if you were to go to school at 8.00am, it would be actually be five in the morning.
Not sure if they just do what they want though, and fuck the uniform timezone.
