lipsync was a little stiff but i'm digging the rest, oh yes very much so
the audio is so bad but it looks nice, at least.
Cooooool, animation and general attention to detail is excelent, but the lip synching and voice acting was a little lacking. Overall though, this is super impressive, can't wait to see more!
Looks pretty good. Much nicer than the Ultramarines movie. Animations are a bit wonky, but not bad at all for a fan-made work.
The voice acting could use some work, but not at all half bad for a fan effort.

I felt that the voice acting is actually very decent, the problem is the synchronisation with the visuals, it's way off. Lipsync being all over the place doesn't help, neither does the apparent lack of audio leveling and overall polish. The voice actors are doing a decent job, but it feels all kinds of weird because of those issues.
What I loved is everything else. Especially how heavy and powerful the space marines look and sound, the sound design there is great. They aren't just marching, they're punishing the pavement with their steel boots.
Damn, that parade was amazing.
This is leagues better than the "official" movie that came out years ago.
GW should lend them some voice actors they used for games and/or trailers.
For a project done in someone's spare time... holy shit, this is turning out amazing.
Even with the wonky audio.
This blew whatever expectation I had of SFM's visual capabilities. It doesn't even look like Source. Not with all those low res TF2 models at least.
full version when?
full version when?
spring 2017 i think
the level of detail in the environment was absolutely amazing, nailed the 40k universe I loved the music (minor voice acting that is still above the majority of the the stuff out there)
I just hope GW doesn't hit this with a Cease and desist.

That's because its not source, its CryEngine.
For a fan made work I was really impressed. I have the same criticisms about the sound design and voice acting. That can polished up later when the full move is released. Though I had some issues with the directing of the overall opening scene. I didn't like the scene of the fat man in the blue coat sitting down just waggling his foot. It felt a bit irrelevant because they kill him at the very end. And my next gripe is with the scene of the Imperial Fists marching in a celebration parade when the Space Marine sitting down is told that the accused heretic has been captured. It appears then disappears quickly without any introduction into who this character is (ifhe is Vorn Hagan, or some other lore important Imperial Fist that I'm not aware of it still felt akward) but I will admit because we don't have the rest of the movie I can't tell how well that scene in particular will fit into the rest of the movie.

It's not SFM, it's cryengine cinebox.
This video was rendered in real time.

I believe you're referring to the Lord Inquisitor in his power armour. He's not a Space Marine.

Oh right. I somehow confused the first scene with those two eclipses for the SFM logo. :downs:

Ah my mistake.
Christ just watching the animation of the Dreadnought walking is literal eye candy...
This is one of those things where theres so many small things wrong with it, that you just feel like an ass for nitpicking them since the overall product is so fantastic, like damn son those models, but damn son those lip synch and occasional layering errors.
Woah like one guy made almost everything.
The more I watch the lipsync, the more I think the original audio is in French, but the video released on YT was dubbed with English voices.

"Kyvah! What say you?"
If you slow down the entire footage, frame by frame, (I did it with Sony Vegas) and zoom to check the lipsync, he asks: "Kyvah! Qu'en dites-vous?".
I'd like to see a non-dubbed version of this, I like French too, especially phonetically.
Some of the audio is really shitty, like the urn being smashed. And some of the animations (the old dude) looks like it's missing frames or something. And it really irked me that he gets shot twice but has no visible wounds or anything.
Otherwise it looks fantastic though. Loved seeing Terra for the first time outside of Warhammer art.
Also to people worring about GW shutting this down a while ago if I remember right this got the GW seal of approval.

Was about to say this. It really seems to be dubbed over.

Seems to mean nothing these days. A lot of fan projects that got prior approval have been now taken down from the internet.
GW is extremely sensitive to profit with their IP; if they decide there is more money to be made shutting this down, they will 180 in one day and do it.

None of those projects had the company give it their full blessing.

They don't really care nowadays if you're not making money off it.
