Hey guys, the day has finally come for me to at least step inside the tattoo parlor, get a price range for my tattoo, and possibly get inked up. For about a good 3 years now I've wanted "I rather have a mind opened by creativity than one closed by belief." on my left forearm on the underside. I'm an artist, and I've always found this quote to be fascinating. I'm left handed, so I thought a quote that had to do with creativity belonged on the arm I use to actually be creative. I really wanna get this done, but my friend today told me "Good luck getting a job with that on there." I'm 19 years old and I'm not employed as of yet. What do you guys think about the whole thing?
Update:
Got it

Haha, how is that going to stop you getting employed?
I've got tattoos, and none of them are on my face or hands so I don't have any trouble with work.
Smack your 'friend' around the ears for being an idiot

Oh gee no wonder. Might be cool quote now, but I don't know in XXX years. Maybe some prison or militiary tattoo would be cool, but in 30 years you laugh at what kind of "artist" you were back then. Just my 50 cents.

Some employers just don't employ people with tattoos
Nobody will hire you for having a tattoo you rebellious teen!
Seriously why wouldn't they?
Some employers just don't employ people with tattoos
obviously, but only a handfull would refuse to employ someone because of a sentence on a area of their body which they can cover up. it's not like it's obscene or something.

Since tattoos are usually combined with chavs and "gangstas".
Get it anyways. If your employer asks you about it and you describe why you got it to him/her I'm sure it will put you in a good light.
Moght want to show us the tattoo...

It's not that much of refusing, it's more of choosing someone who doesn't have the tattoo.
get a tattoo of your face woolley
Tatoos look kind of crappy after some decades and you can't be sure if you still agree with your quote.
Also, I've heard from a couple of people that it's a complete pain in the ass to remove them via lasers since it freaking burns your skin and may sometimes (but kinda rarely) leave small scars.
Just give it a serious thought. And I mean a really serious thought.
I would be wearing a long sleeve to any interview anyway.

Don't listen to that bs about not getting employed. As long as you're not inked up head to toe you will be fine. It isn't like you're getting some random tattoo or something gang related. You're friend is a idiot.

You'll be fine. As long as while working the tattoo is not visible then you're fine.
