Obama went to Chipotle Monday with participants in the White House Working Families Summit. Apparently the president had never been before, or at least he hadn’t ordered himself in a while, because his finger came dangerously close to the food behind the counter. The germaphobes on Twitter responded with outrage. Obama’s faux pas has been called “grounds for impeachment” and labeled as vast “presidential overreach.”
here comes the internet lynch mob
impeach this motherfucker right now
Disgusting.
Daily special: Now with 100% more Presidential skin cells!
Honestly who does that though? I mean it definitely isn't as big a deal as these chuckle fucks are making it but the glass is there for a reason.
the actual definition of overreach motherfucker should get the death penalty for this one
This is almost worse than talking to someone whilst using public transport.
this is disgusting, he pretty much dropped trow and took a dump in the food for all I'm concerned
Normally I'd say " why would you even do that " but to be honest I sympathize with him, he's probably stressed to shit and really not in the mood to have the people making his chipolte get the order wrong three times in a row.
This is almost as bad as Forkgate
It's either you reach over and point at the food, or you get asked five times for not being loud enough since the sneeze glass blocks your voice. "What was that sir?" "what" "come again" "Steak" "oh steak"
I'm more considered about him condoning a restaurant chain with such horrible interior design.
This so much. You have to have actually been to a Chipotle to understand how annoying and awkward this seems as it's happening. People have the nerve to tell me I mumble and it's my fault for not screaming it at them. :v:
when I went to chipotle the EXACT same thing happened to me I thought I was just being quiet/awkward because the woman asked me no less than three fucking times.
My uncle, who is clearly racist, said about this whole situation: "I don't know what the big deal is, he's African and a Muslim and they do that all the time. Why are people surprised?" I laughed, because I expected him to be the guy who was going to make the biggest deal out of it. Turns out, his thick racism gives Obama a pass? I guess? I don't know how these things work. Fuck inside voices, this is a life or death situation and one mumble can be the difference between what I want and some tuna dick salad or some shit.
Presidential overreach? He's simply using his executive power to enact changes to his order without consulting the incompetent order-filling congress of Chipotle workers. jeez guys calm down
I don't think such an interest has been shown in the eating habits of any previous president of the United States. Isn't this like the second or third time there's been an article about something Obama's done at a restaurant?
He reached over the sneeze glass!? What an idiot! What if his hand had sneezed?
He should have just signed an order allowing a drone to fly over the sneeze glass
That serving lady's face :v:
To be fair whenever I get chipotle this is sometimes the only way to get them to understand what I actually want.
he's the fucking president though he could've grabbed all that food and gently massaged it into the glass whilst staring menacingly into the employee's eyes, nobody can do anything
He's the goddamn president, people would pay to have him sneeze on their food.

First its this, then next thing you know he'll be eating curry
Jokes aside, does this actually bother anyone? I do it all the time, because like others have said above me, the servers can't hear shit behind the glass. No one has ever commented on it or told me to not do it.

To you guys saying you can't hear/be heard, how short are you? :v: I've never been to chipotle but that that glass does not look high at all. When I go out to eat I always make sure to speak loudly, clearly, and at a even pace for the people serving me, considering all the other noise probably going on. Being a server, I can't fucking stand when I have to ask a customer to repeat themselves because it's embarrassing on my end - but when you don't raise your voice when I keep asking "WHAT" then it makes it look as if you're too dumb to interact in public
Chipolte's is the shit but it's the most awkward thing to actually order your food there.
I can't say I've ever felt awkward ordering food there...
