He said there was no collusion. And he has studied this thing very closely. I’ve seen him a number of times.” “There is no collusion, and even if there was, it’s not a crime,” he continued. “But there’s no collusion.”Trump also blasted special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia, saying it “makes the country look very bad.” “It puts the country in a very bad position,” Trump said. “So the sooner it’s worked out, the better it is for the country.”
Source: http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/366746-trump-even-if-there-was-collusion-with-russia-its-not-a-crime
In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times Thursday, President Trump said he thinks the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election makes the U.S. "look very bad." "It puts the country in a very bad position,” Trump told the Times, despite saying he thinks special counsel Robert Mueller, who's heading the investigation, will treat him fairly. "I think that Bob Mueller will be fair, and everybody knows that there was no collusion." Sixteen times during the interview, Trump repeated "no collusion" had been discovered as a result of the investigation, and maintained that Democrats concocted the allegations “as a hoax, as a ruse, as an excuse for losing an election.” "I actually think it’s turning to the Democrats because there was collusion on behalf of the Democrats," Trump said, according to a transcript of the interview. Oh, I see. If he says so, then it must be true!
“I watched Alan Dershowitz the other day, he said, No. 1, there is no collusion, No. 2, collusion is not a crime, but even if it was a crime, there was no collusion,”
It's kind of funny Trump basically going 'I have this friend' for months on end. But then I remember his retard supporters actually believe it and it becomes less funny.
The Trump cult is arguing that collusion is not a crime. Technically, they're correct on that point. There's no law about "collusion." There are some pretty interesting federal charges regarding criminal conspiracy, however, which is what everybody is actually referencing when they say "collusion." Basically, the defense has fallen to semantics. The legal laymen doesn't know the proper legal lingo, so the right wing propaganda machine's strategy is to intentionally exploit that ignorance to misinform and mislead the public about what is actually being investigated here.
Sounds like a thinly veiled admission of guilt
Oh my fucking god, like a book.
Here's the transition from "no I didn't" to "so what?" Buckle up.
"When the President does it, that means it is not illegal." - Richard Nixon. Remind me again why it was a good idea to let the most power man away with an awful crime? I'm sure it has absolutely no bearing on what's happening right now...
he insisted, "I have absolute right to do what I want to do with the Justice Department."
"The Justice Department will decide your fate." "I am the Justice Department" "Not yet" "It's collusion then."
Something big is coming.
I wonder how many Trump-cultists will have to be committed once this moron is imprisoned. Something tells me their fragile minds won't be able to take it.
I think his change of tone/strategy from "we gotta get mueller out!" to "everything's fine, let's just get it over with *content orange smile*" is stimming from the fact that his lawyer told him exactly what he said in the article: Collusion isn't a crime. Boy, I can't wait until he finds out criminal conspiracy is!
I like the idea of Trump being lulled into the same false sense of security being used to corral his supporters. That's gonna be fun when he finds out criminal conspiracy is a crime.
Conspiracy to do what?
Win an election using campaign funds from a competing foreign power and dirt illegally hacked by said foreign power.
Conspiracy to do what?
Make major changes to the Trump administration's policy platforms regarding Russian interests in exchange for a hostile foreign government to illegally attack our Democratic process via acts of cyberwarfare targeting Trump's political opponents, election commitees, election databases, and voting machines, primarily. Throw in some money laundering, illegal trade and business practices, FARA violations, perjury charges, and a whole massive serving of Obstruction of Justice, with a side helping of multiple high crimes of office, and the argument that "if it happened it's not a big deal" falls on its head. Add to the official legal charges countless unofficial, non-criminal charges of "Being A Massive Crybaby Idiot Asshole," just to round things out a bit.
I'm wondering how much longer its going to be before the CIA gets tired of this buffoonery and pulls another Dealey Plaza incident

I hope for Trumps sake, that he does not look into any very reflective ponds, he may not want to ever look away

It's basically enabling mass reality denial for selfish gain. They are tapping into the same "crowd sourced debate" strategy they have been seeing the whole year. They know people will do it for them, so now they are actively encouraging it and arming them for it. You know how every time Trump says/does something stupid we get about a million copy-pastes of the same ridiculous non-argument for it generally sourced directly from someone on Twitter? "It's not ACKSHULLY a Muslim ban!!" until people that actually know what the hell they are talking about pick it apart repeatedly and the "debaters" mysteriously disappear from the topic for a few days until Twitter can tell them their next debate point to hammer on as if they knew about it? Yeah that.

Meanwhile, in the Trump cave... "What do you mean collusion was bad a choice of words? I pick the best words." "Mr. President, collusion has illegal in the definition." "What?" "Merriem and Webster. Collusion. Secret agreement or cooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose. As an example they have, acting in collusion with the enemy." "I pick the best words."
