A 16-year-old boy has been given a life sentence after he admitted murdering Leeds teacher Ann Maguire.
Will Cornick stabbed Mrs Maguire, 61, seven times in the back and neck at Corpus Christi Catholic College, then sat down and said "good times".

What a twisted fucker
What in the actual fuck
"He said to the entire class 'good times' and spoke of an adrenaline rush."
The fuck
The teacher taught my dad when he was younger, you see stuff like this in the news but you never expect it to happen literally a couple of streets away
then sat down and said "good times".
Holy fuck, this kid is twisted.
Cornick told other children he hated Mrs Maguire and wanted her dead, writing on Facebook that she "deserves more than death, more than pain and more than anything that we can understand".
I'd also like to point out, it was her day off and she had come into the school to help students revise for GCSEs.
"He said that he had stabbed Mrs Maguire," said Mr Greaney. "He added that it was a pity she was not dead.
Mr Greaney said when the expert asked about the impact on Mrs Maguire's family, Cornick replied: "I know the victim's family will be upset but I don't care.
"In my eyes, everything I've done is fine and dandy."
"It's kill or be killed. I did not have a choice. It was kill her or suicide."
There's not many people you can truly call psychopathic but this child is one of them.
he's clearly mentally ill and yet he's being talked about like he lacks any humanity. the kid needs psychological help, not a jail sentence.
"It's kill or be killed. I did not have a choice. It was kill her or suicide."
it clearly states that he didn't feel like he had a choice in the matter.

He needs mental rehabilitation, not a jail sentence.
Fuck man, imagine spending your entire adult life in jail. This kid is only going to get crazier.

Especially since his plan was to go to jail for life so that he wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore.

Or you could just study for your Spanish exam like a normal person.

Where did it say he planned to go to jail for life? He only planned to kill his teacher, he didn't care about what happened afterward.
The prosecutor said: "Late on the night of Christmas Eve 2013, and into the early hours of Christmas Day, the defendant exchanged messages with a friend on Facebook.
"In those messages he spoke of 'brutally killing' Mrs Maguire and spending the rest of his life in jail so as not to have to worry about life or money."
Really do agree with the other posts, this kid need some kind of mental help.

They get that in jail.

You yourself say he's not normal but expect him to make normal decisions? You are contradicting yourself.
Either you consider his behavior perfectly sane but just wrong and detestable and in that case he's indeed a felon who deserves to rot, or you recognize this isn't a properly functioning human individual and in that case there's no point trying to hold his behavior to human standard and it makes far more sense to try to hospitalize and fix him rather than lock him up for something that doesn't even compute as wrong in his brain.
It isn't Jail OR Rehabilitation. Jail should be for rehabilitation, in this case some psychiatric help. Of course many jail systems don't work they way they should for this, but he will probably be given some psychiatric evaluation and treated, in jail.
Oh wow. This level of fucked up doesn't just come from nowhere, what the hell happened to this kid?
Apparently he also brought a bottle of whisky into school with him to celebrate it as well, the kid's clearly got massive psychopathic tendencies.
Which would tie into why he's not been sent to a secure mental facility - psychopaths are fully aware something is illegal, and fully in control when they do it (and this was partially premeditated, as far as I'm aware). They just have no empathy.

From what I've heard on the radio, he was a quiet but very talented pupil who came from a decent, middle-class family with no background of issues.
Some people don't deserve second chances guys, like when you murder someone. If we all got second chances everyone could just murder someone and then be done with murdering people for the rest of their lives. Prison is there to deter people from doing bad shit and to punish those who do bad shit. The punishment should fit the crime and murdering someone you don't like shouldn't be met with therapy and release back into the world.

prison doesn't deter crazy. prison encourages crazy
(and this was partially premeditated, as far as I'm aware)..
Partially? He brought a weapon to where he knew someone he wanted to kill was and then killed them. I think that is just regular premeditated.
I don't think there's much hope for somebody who plans to murder their teacher then brag about it. Mentally ill people are usually not malignant or plan out their crimes like this dude.
This guy looks exactly like another guy in my class who made a movie plot to shoot up an entire school and labelled it "sci-fi"
A perfect example of a broken person.

Yeah, I was sort of applying my own definition of premeditated there, by most standard definitions it was.
- If anyone asks, I was being retarded here, my apologies -
holy fuck "and said 'good times' " it's something I could only imagine a fictional character to say

thats a really smart and good way to make sense
(currently using my own definitions of smart and good)
The Daily Mail are blaming it on Dark Souls 2
He allegedly told a classmate he was going to murder her moments before, and winked to him/her before stabbing his teacher.
Jesus fucking Christ
