So far, the whole song ive learned is Return to Hangar just cuz i fucking love the song and spent time learning it which took me 5minutes cuz its just few chords, any similar songs?
Almost everything by metallica, their songs are almost just completely easy, yet impressive riffs.

Lonely day by system of a down
Lonely day by system of a down
Checking, thx

Black Sabbath songs are easy for the most part and Metal as fvck. Electric Funeral, Sweet Leaf, and NIB are all fun and easy.
I dont like tabs, have trouble remembering them, perhaps mainly-chord-songs?
Thats no excuse ;)
I dont like tabs, have trouble remembering them, perhaps mainly-chord-songs?
Learn tabs, cause there are few bitchin metal songs that consist of chords boy.
if you dont like tabs and do not use them you will get no-where. but anyway i suggest something by system like sugar or deer dance. just make sure you remember to tune to drop c or i will come round your house and beat you to death with a lead pipe
Almost everything by metallica, their songs are almost just completely easy, yet impressive riffs.
This, Metallica is pretty damn easy :)
Almost everything by metallica, their songs are almost just completely easy, yet impressive riffs.
maybe if we're talking about load and reload, but if you're planning to pick up and learn fight fire with fire or dyers eve in 5 minutes, you can go fuck yourself
Aerials by System of a Down is quite simplistic. Dropped D (or Dropped C if you want to be real technical and be EXACT like the song) tuning and only uses the EAD (DAD for Dropped D or CGC for Dropped C) strings. Just hop on ultimate-guitar.com and look up tabs for it and listen to the song a few times to get the timing and rhythm right.
Metal and easy go together like ice cream and tomato sauce

So try that.
Basically go through tabs and Metallica songs. Alot of them are simple to start, even if you can't play them full speed at first. For Whom The Bell Tolls is a great example.
Hearts on Fire by hammerfall is pretty easy
Songs off Hybrid Theory (Linkin Park's first album) Some Disturbed songs maybe?
Hearts on Fire by hammerfall is pretty easy
I wouldn't call that suitable for a beginner. The main riff can be a bit tricky to play cleanly for a beginner. Not to mention the pinch harmonics thrown in there. Anyway, I would recommend Judas Priest - Breaking the Law.
Iron Man [editline]11:58AM[/editline] A:|---0---3---3--5--5----8-7-8-7-8---3--3--5--5
So the entire song consists of that one section of tab? and im pretty sure that sections meant to be powerchords.
Tab is easy enough to learn.
Tab is easy enough to learn. -image-
Yeah, tabs are pretty easy to learn. I don't even play guitar or bass and I can read tabs. I can't tell you the name of the notes, but I know how you'd read the tabs. :v:
maybe if we're talking about load and reload, but if you're planning to pick up and learn fight fire with fire or dyers eve in 5 minutes, you can go fuck yourself
Learned to play them in full speed after a week, hard songs yes, but there are much harder
Not much metal is just chords. You're going to need to work on that remembering thing and the best way to do that is to keep playing tabs.
Or he could learn to read music and cut out the middleman!
Just learn simple power chord and you can play to any song really.
Or he could learn to read music and cut out the middleman!
You don't have to know how to read music to cut out the middleman. :engleft:
Just learn simple power chord and you can play to any song really.
Did someone replace half of your brain with a brick? "I can't play this song, aw well it's fine cause i can just mash some powerchords along to it and everything will be fine"
Did someone replace half of your brain with a brick? "I can't play this song, aw well it's fine cause i can just mash some powerchords along to it and everything will be fine"
Well that is basically what he asked in the OP. I dunno, atleast I use half my brain.
