That's a lot of personal info to fill out even if paying with paypal.
Can't wait for people to say that absolution is worse than sin and shouldn't be a game when it's actually a pretty decent stealth game, just not a hitman one.
It's a decent third person shooter with some sneaking elements.
It's a good game, too bad Anita Sarkessian misrepresented it horribly in one of her videos.

They should give it away for free and then charge a dollar for people to return it.

That's cool of them. Absolution is pretty great.
Absolution is a top-notch Jason Bourne/Thriller-esque game. Pretty great of them to do this.
I enjoyed Absolution a lot. I only wish you could play levels without the scoreboard/score meter since even though you can just ignore it and complete your goal, it just feels irritating to get negative scores because you did things your own way that is not perfect/how the game wants you to play.
Who cares what she does?
Well, it was annoying and I hated her for it when it happened, If anybody was confused by her condemnation of the product in the past I just wanted to set the record straight so they know it was just her being dishonest.
dont bring her up
This feels tricky. Can anyone confirm?
This feels tricky. Can anyone confirm?
Considering the real Square Enix facebook posted this as well, same for the Deux Ex one they had last month, yup.
Donated 10 bucks
This feels tricky. Can anyone confirm?
If you're trying to stealth it like old Hitman games, then yeah it can very easily turn into a shoutout. And once you have the whole level on your case it won't be an easy fight. Especially hand to hand combat also being a QTE with quite small prompts so hope your paying attention to those. Though playing it at normal, ignoring the scoreboard and just going your own pace it's a flawed but still fun game.
I believe the flaw in Hitman Absolution is that it's made super-hard for you to pursue certain play-styles, and a few lacking features and frustrating things. It definitely caters a bit for shooter fans, but with also sneaky Assassin stuff in the mix. The new HITMAN should be like Absolution, except bigger and open maps. I don't see what could go wrong, seeing how much fun-time I was able to squeeze out of Absolution alone.
Can't wait for people to say that absolution is worse than sin and shouldn't be a game when it's actually a pretty decent stealth game, just not a hitman one.
I don't really think it is though. But if you play Absolution, my number one advice is to tell that score meter to go fuck itself. Don't pay any attention to it. See, the game constantly wants you to do suit only and virtually never get caught ever. Don't get people suspicious ever either. In previous Hitman games (at least, in Blood Money) you were allowed to kill whoever you wanted so long as you made it look like an accident. You could also sedate them (a feature only put in Absolution in the form of a QTE where 47 physically attacks them), for no penalty from what I remember. You also would often disguise yourself, leaving your suit somewhere easily retrievable when you were ready to leave the level. These are all no-nos in Absolution. Doing many of these same actions hurts your score, and due to the linear nature of the levels, you will most often either have to choose to wear a suit or to say fuck the score, fuck Silent Assassin rating (which isn't achievable on some levels even), and just do whatever you want. Choosing to do it suit style hurts the game significantly. It reduces a huge portion of the game essentially to you crouch walking, spending hours of trial and error getting seen because the detection in this game doesn't allow for any wiggle room whatsoever. Even with disguises, cutscenes will not remember that you were wearing a different outfit and cause immersion fractures when 47 suddenly has his suit back, plus they're pretty much paper thin, and you'll get caught if you hang around any given area for more than 2 seconds, but fuck, at least you can walk around again. Basically, my advice for enjoying Hitman Absolution is to tell the score meter to fuck off, and do what comes naturally to you as a player. Don't be afraid to murder someone, don't be afraid to use a disguise, hell, don't feel discouraged if you want to kill literally everyone. The game can be more fun as a Terminator type shooter than a stealth game, which isn't a good sign, but whatever. Oh, and like I said, Absolution is a very, very linear game, so expect to be railroaded and have very clear things you're supposed to do to succeed unlike in previous Hitman games where there are proven methods but it's pretty much just do whatever you want.
The disguise system is totally broken. They should give it away for free and then charge a dollar for people to return it.
Oh come on. It's a bad system but it doesn't ruin the game so bad it's not worth a dollar. This game gets way too much shit. It's a bad hitman game but it's a good stealth game.

Not saying it isn't worth a dollar, but it deserves most of the criticism it gets.
I remember paying £30 for this game
Except it isn't a good stealth game either :v:
Yes it is, the first few levels are a little off but once it's warmed up it can be great fun.
Now it's maybe worth the money
Game's good. It's a great game to start the franchise off with. But the disguise system is pretty rough around the edges.
I actually prefer the Absolution disguise system to the Blood Money one. In Blood Money, disguises were all-access free passes. In Absolution they were only good for momentary glares and still required planning and timing to use properly; they weren't a "get this outfit and win the game" device anymore.
$1 is pretty much what the game is worth. I still wouldn't recommend it though, was a total letdown going into it as a fan of the series.
Except it isn't a good stealth game either :v:
It was decent enough as a more linear stealth game. I played the game ghost mode and it was pretty good. I actually liked how the game played with no HUD. I liked how the static represented 47's instinct. It was a very playable game in that regard. Absolution is a good stealth game, just not a good Hitman game.
