I love reading first off. Many people I know don't, but I do. How long does it take you guys to read a book? Include how many pages and how long.. I read a 1100 pager in 1 1/2 months.. While on vacation for 3 weeks. I have read books that are about 300 in a single day. What about you guys? I'm currently reading Under the Dome. And about 450 pages in. Been reading it for about 3 weeks.
It takes me AGES to read a book, I'm a really slow reader compared to my age group. and my attention usually goes elsewhere.
Depends on the book and my mood. I may buy a book and not look at it for months, then i'll just go gung ho and finish a thousand page book in a week or two, it all depends.
Depends on the book, last week I read a 800 pager in a single day. Took 4-5 hours. It was crime-romance BS, if it was something like "The Law vol. 89 - So dry bullshit it absorbs moisture in the desert" it would be longer.
600 pages in 3 hours, of hardcore skim, if i'm reading a good book, 600 pages in 8 hours. [editline]11:32PM[/editline]
"The Law vol. 89 - So dry bullshit it absorbs moisture in the desert"
I lol'd.

For some reason, I haven't gotten into any novels lately, but I am a pretty fast reader. When I have time, I can finish a 600 page book in a day.
I read pretty fast. If the book gets me hooked within the first few chapters, I read it non-stop. However, if it has a crappy beginning, I tend to take it at a much slower rate, mainly due to the fact that I find it tedious to read through it if it doesn't interest me. I always end up getting hooked to a book though, cause by the middle of the story, something gets interesting and that's when I end up finishing it fast. I don't know how long it takes me to read a book, but anyone who has read Simow Scarrow's Napoleon and Arthur books, it took me a two weeks to read the first book (I found it tedious, but as it progressed, I enjoyed it more) and i'm currently reading the second book which is at least two and a half times as thick. I'm a week and a half in and i'm half way through the book. I've got a weird habit though. Some days I read 10+ chapters, other days I read 2-3 before I sleep. So my times aren't always as they usually are.
It takes me about 1-2 minutes to read a tiny text page.
however fast my eyes move
I can read 100 pages in about 2 hours.
200 pages in 3 months.
200 pages in 3 months.
Thats sad.
I read pretty fast if I want to, usually I get stuck here.
a 600 page book takes me about three or four days. and that's if I read for about three hours a day.
10 pages in a year
600 page book in 3 days if i have a book to read ill read it (if im on a car journey/plane/boat/train) otherwise no unless im on holiday then i will but never at school.
I managed to read Angels & Demons in one week while on holiday. Some random guy gave me it on the second day of our second week I think, and I read it for the rest. Shame I forgot how many pages that is. [editline]Edited:[/editline] I wasn't reading it non-stop, just when I was waiting for people to get changed for dinner or if I felt like not being an arse in the pools.
It would probably take me a few years to read a single book.
:snoop:ADD ftw,
I like to take my time, up to 3 months, sometimes. I feel that if I rush a book, the only emotion I experience is regret that I read it so fast. Really getting into the story is very important for me.
I usually read for an hour, two hours a day... so... it could be anything from a week to three weeks on average.
If i get into a book of about 500+ pages, probably 2 nights or maybe just one really late night.
Takes me a week or so to finish one with 10 pages. [editline]11:55PM[/editline] 300 page book in 4 days!
It takes me AGES to read a book, I'm a really slow reader compared to my age group. and my attention usually goes elsewhere.
Pretty much this. I'm really slow.
I have the ability to read really fast, but I don't. I always read about as slowly as the characters would talk.
Around one page per minute
I normally end up reading around 50 pages a day.
I read around 300 pages in 6 hours. So it takes me 2-3 days to read most things.
80 pages an hour, if that is all i am doing.
