Nigel Farage was on Question Time last week (he seemed pretty impressive. Scared the other parties who looked like they had no good ideas to bring to the table), and he said that due to the higher level of interest in the party they recruited more to stand in the elections, but didn't have enough time or money to train them.

Its just funny that UKIP is destroying the right wing as they squabble over who's the biggest populist with the conservatives.

The picture itself looks like he was just grabbing for the phone but the second picture described it pretty worrying. If the police recommended to UKIP that he is removed there must have been some good evidence so as far as any member of UKIP is concerned this is another loony gone. Hopefully by time next year has come we will have the time and resources to vet every candidate for each area.
The way it's been done is that certain regions have been properly vetted, some have had some small checks and some just don't have enough people to perform the checks on their candidates.

Was used in the US, though, as well as a few other countries until the rise of fascism, then it was pretty much just Germany and Italy.

Sorry, on further research I was confusing the UKIP with the BNP which I'd read about fairly recently, although that wasn't necessarily the best source either. I'll read better next time.
It looks like the UKIP is what the GOP wishes it could be, only that they have the extremely nutbag people that's holding them back.

The US as a whole is generally far more right wing than the UK and a lot of other countries, it's one of the many reasons why your political system blows.
UKIP are to the onservatives like the tea party are to the republicans; more right wing and utterly uneletable.
