:siren: WARNING: BE AWARE A STORY IS ABOUT TO COME UP. :siren:
Story: Even since I was about 10, I've been interested in Landscape Photography. I've been using my aunts shitty digital camera that takes low res photos that don't please me. When I take a photo, I feel like I'm taking a memory.
Now, to cut to the chase, I need a NICE camera for $500 and below. Not some shitty digital one, but one that looks like this.

Something that's high rated and takes high res pictures with a good quality.
Also, I have a question. Can you sell these pictures online and make some hefty money out of it? If so, where?
No, this isn't a CHOOSE FOR ME PLOX thread. I have no knowledge in buying cameras so I need your help.
wrong subforum bro

but the short answer is get a refurbished Canon XSi from Adorama for $484
you don't need video, it's not really worth it on cheap cameras and lenses.
butttt resolution generally means jack shit in the world of photography, so if you feel like your grandmother's camera is the only thing holding you back you may need to rethink some things
1. I said my aunt
2. Didn't know that was there.
3. Never said I wanted video.
Nikon D3000 is a good bet, I will be getting one myself. The Rebel XS is also ok, but aging.
Moving to CC.

I post on here all day and get sick of peoples assumptions.

well there's your problem, because if you do nothing else you're bound to run into assumptions sooner or later
and it's not like wanting video means you're an idiot dude, jesus christ
Whether or not he wants videos, it's good to make note of the feature. It's more or less a gimmick with most cameras, but can be useful, to a degree. If you want to make videos as a primary it's good to look into something else, but as a general thing I'd say don't decide on a camera just because it has video unless you intend on using it often.
