• Man gets $650,000 for lap dance eye injury
A South Florida man may have a few more dollars to toss around at strippers after he won $650,000 in a settlement for injuries he suffered during a lap dance. In 2008, Michael Ireland was poked in the eye by a stripper's spiked high heel when he got a little too close during a performance at the Cheetah Club near West Palm Beach. The shoe of a stripper named "Suki" punctured his eye socket and broke bones around his eye and nose and the man has permanent double vision, his attorneys claimed. Some would say that's not such a problem in the strip club. The strip club decided to settle out of court Thursday instead of going through with the lawsuit and possibly paying more in damages. "When this case was first filed, many people criticized it simply because it occurred at a strip club," said Lake Lytal, Ireland's attorney. "But we feel the $650,000 settlement goes to show that this was a serious case with serious injuries." Lap dances for everyone! Or not. i'd rather have normal vision than $650k
What a lucky bugger. If you're ever gonna make money from a lawsuit, that's how to do it! Except no double vision, leave that minor detail out.
i mean - i guess this man got stripped of his vision [editline]15th October 2010[/editline] automerge fff
Can't 650k fix his vision?
That article made some good points. That settlement must have gouged out their wallets. Don't go to strip clubs too often, or you'll go blind.
Can't 650k fix his vision?
No, but he sure as hell can buy a better lap dance.
Wow wtf, he should be suing the dancer in addition to the club. And screw whoever criticized it for being in a strip club, you go get your eye poked in and see if you laugh.
Must've been one hell of a lap dance.
So he got a lapdance and the money? Looks like we have a winner.

I like that they felt the stripper's name was pertinent information
'Ain't that a kick in the head...' Wow that was bad
He needs to suki-t up.
i'd rather have normal vision than $650k
This. Money is worthless if you can't see the shit you're buying with it.
Wow wtf, he should be suing the dancer in addition to the club. That must have been one UGLY stripper.
Was expecting severe case of pink eye.
you think a stripper has money? regardless, if you have an issue with a government servant, you sue the government not the servant.
You would be surprised.
I'd take normal vision over $650,000
"When this case was first filed, many people criticized it simply because it occurred at a strip club," said Lake Lytal, Ireland's attorney.
Who cares where it happened? The man was paying for a legal service and was injured in the process.
...and the man has permanent double vision
All the wayyyh
i'd rather have normal vision than $650k
It's 650K and half a lapdance. :v:
Doesn't anyone of you cringe when you try to visualize the situation. The heel must have punctured the eye, then cause the stripper to lose balance and fall with the heel still inside his damn eye socket. Cause how else would the heel be able to break the bones around the eye and the nose. :geno:
It's his own damn fault for getting too close to the lap dance.
Looks like Mr. Ireland, is now seeing seeing quadruples.
double vision just means he gets twice as many lap dances
I love how he "got a little too close" implying it was his fault, yet still got the 650k.
No, but he sure as hell can buy a better lap dance.
With twins! Or so he thinks...
Guys you've missed the most important part! He has double vision! now when he gets a lapdance he gets two for the price of one! :v:
