• Fake ultrasounds, fake bellies and ‘Fake a Baby.com’ gets Michigan teen in non-fake trouble
“Need a bun in the oven?” says the Web site “Fake a Baby.com. “We can help.” Billing itself as the “Home of the $9.95 fake Ultrasound,” it purports to sell the “Best Gag Gifts on Earth.” But according to Fox2 News in Wyandotte, Mich., nobody in that town thinks it’s funny that a teenage girl pretended for months that she was pregnant with triplets, no less, using “Fake a Baby” products. As word of her impending good fortune spread on Facebook — through a group she joined called “Moms of Triplets” — gifts started “pouring in,” according to the station. A church got involved, a nonprofit group in Dearborn chipped in and relatives threw her a baby shower. The judge dismissed the case, noting, as the paper reported, that the woman “wasn’t the most credible of witnesses.”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/09/02/fake-ultrasounds-fake-bellies-and-fake-a-baby-com-gets-michigan-teen-in-non-fake-trouble/
Clever girl.
Clever girl.
Not clever enough to know that you don't stay pregnant for 10+ months
This is simultaneously one of the best and worst ideas for a business I've ever heard of.
I'm wondering how someone came up with this for a business.
I'm wondering how someone came up with this for a business.
If people came up with a bussiness selling dragon dildos, i wouldn't be suprised that someone came up with this.
I'm wondering how someone came up with this for a business.
I don't think they intended it to be used like this. I can see it being hilarious as a joke though
Not clever enough to know that you don't stay pregnant for 10+ months
Women are pregnant for ~40 weeks, which is about ten months.
One of my wife's "friends" pretended to be pregnant with twins, had an ultrasound picture and all, got tons of sympathy despite her erratic behavior. We ended up lending her our spare bedroom because she was homeless and she stabbed us in the back in return. Needless to say, she's not my wife's friend anymore. I wonder if she got her ultrasound picture through this or something similar.
Women are pregnant for ~40 weeks, which is about ten months.
A month is about 4.35 weeks on average with makes 40 weeks approx 9.2 months. At 10 months it's definitely time to start getting suspicious/worried.
i've seen pregnant women on facebook sell positive pregnancy tests
I remember reading an article a year or two ago about that becoming popular; Women purchasing positive pregnancy tests online and showing them to their partners, resulting in them staying together because the man thinks they are expecting. It's pretty fucked up.
And I bet there is not a single line in the law books that would protect men against stuff like this.
Well there's not a single line in the law books punishing him if he ditches after all. If she ain't preggers, there ain't no babby to pay child support to.
