Cool visit to the SNK office around 1995. Really cool to see all those Neo Cabinets:
- Videos - Daily reminder that 1999 is almost 20 years ago now
No! 1980 was 20 years ago and 1990 was 10 years ago. :frown: God, there are so many garbage-videos me and my friends did during late 90s and early 2000s that I'm VERY glad youtube wasn't a thing back then. They're collecting dust on vhs-tapes in some box in my parents basement which is precisely where they belong.
i miss the 90s, fashion sense was garbage and it was so easy to fit in since everyone just wore fucking denim.
Youtube is pretty cool for people to share their recordings from back in the day, especially if it's of a place you used to go to. I was 1 year old when this was recorded "this isn't me", the park closed and the area declined, but I got to experience some of it, I still remember going to the arcade with my mom and bro, and watching stormy seas with my dad in his wagoneer. While this video was posted in 2016, it actually is footage from New York city in 1993 in HD. It was ripped from a D-Theater HD DVHS Demo Tape. Created by Techmoan.
I'm reminded of those old internet PSA videos they used to make.

The first video on YouTube. Maybe it's time to go back to the zoo? The name of the music playing in the background is Darude - Sandstorm.
Really getting along with the time i see :v:
That first video, imagine telling those people back then that one day in the relatively near future millions of people from all over the world will have watched the content of that tape, the fucking looks you'd get
That first video, imagine telling those people back then that one day in the relatively near future millions of people from all over the world will have watched the content of that tape, the fucking looks you'd get
He made a blog post about it before releasing the sequel Him and his friend thought it was awesome, their third friend disappeared a few months after the video, the dancing lady still works at 7/11 and her manager showed her and she loved it, French girl and the guy she was with remained in touch with each other (and the guy with the rest of them for a few years) and were shown the video by their friends and they thought it was great, but they preferred not to be named. Of course, not their reactions at the time, but it's nice to know they all enjoyed it.
i have an old camera like this and i love how it looks. no cmos wobble and 60hz aint bad either. this is making me wanna dig it out
you absolutely should. I'm so into stuff like this, even the bulky equipment of the time, it just gives me this wavering sense of nostalgic awe. it was such a weird crossroads in technology that the feeling of having something so physical to archive video seems bizarre from how abstract and virtually minimal shit is now. It's insanely cool.

Hell, some people when moving to HD cameras from SD cameras initially on YouTube got some shit for it because people thought it looked worse. So it can't just be me.
