This looks freaking great, i can't wait to see more footage from this one.
I'm so glad this is still happening. Dead by Daylight was a big let down imo, and Friday the 13th looks a bit mediocre. This is shaping up to be pretty fucking good.
My only worry is the trap spawning, looks to be a bit overpowered at the moment.
Oh wow: I was reminded of Last Year when that new trailer for Routine was posted, so I looked up Last Year and sure enough they just posted this! Then I googled Last Year Facepunch, and you just posted it here? What a day to be a gamer.
Anyway, I've backed Last Year enough to get in the private beta, so I'm pretty stoked. The footage looks stunning (especially graphics wise), even if some of the current design choices have me iffy.
People first got careful when the project starter turned out to be just an audio guy, but he put together a great team since they've really beaten my expectations so far.
If it has any of the fun of Dead By Daylight, but lacks all of DBD's dumb design decisions, I'm all in.
Only big issue is the design of the killers - none of them seem iconic enough for the genre. Need more masks.

I got the new DLC for Halloween DBD and if you use the " Kill by you're hand " as for Michele Myers it looks all glitchy as if he is not really stabbing them

Speaking of which I had to rage quit a map that i got at least 20k in bpoints because I glitched through the wall

I have faith in Friday the 13th. The guys making seem dedicated to making the best product they can with such a small amount of funds. Plus they recently delayed the game to add in single player options due to requests from fans of the project.
I really hope both of these games do well. I feel like Evolve gave asymmetric multiplayer games a bad name.
When I played DBD I always wanted a way to actually resist the killer. Sure games like these can be fun because the whole can't fight back type deal. But after playing a few rounds even as a survivor is really gets dull because all you're doing is fixing a generator to open the doors while dodging a GG no re type dude.
This shows a promise because the killer doesn't seem to have a lot of restrictions and neither do any of the kids in it either. A lot of creativity seems possible if this is done right because that'll mean not only could the killer ruse you into dying but the kids could also do the same to you. Or the killer can toy buy teleporting around,so forth.
So you can turn invisible and just appear right behind people? Or am I missing something?

It's LOS based so apparently you can do it as long as you're not being looked at. Which can prove balance issues though it might encourage group play.
i was thinking of buying dead by daylight despite how clunky it looks but i guess i'm just gonna wait for this now
so just like the l4d versus spawning then, seems fine to me
I would I would not have bought the dlc if i had knowen about this

Hoping there's a delay with it though. If you can just circle a person till you can spawn right beside them would be a bit OP.
Maybe if someone looks in your direction, depending on the distance you can't just appear automatically.

While single player option is a nice feature, I really think they missed out. Releasing it this month would have boosted their sales imo.

L4d was based on los whether they were actually looking in your direction or not so you always had to be behind something. It also prevented you from spawning too close to them. You also made a loud noise as you spawned which gave you away if you were close or somewhere predictable.
