How about you screw off with your cinematic trailers and show me some in-engine stuff because you've fooled me once, but you won't fool me twice.
I've been hurt before.
I don't know if the game will be any good but I loved that trailer.
Dead Island wasn't that great, Dead Island: Epidemic was bad, so I really don't expect much from this.
wtf i thought they were making dying light? always thought it was the same development team lol

Actually, Techland, the guys behind the first Dead Island, are developing Dying Light. This game, however, is being developed by Yager, who also made Spec Ops the Line.
I have my hopes for this one because of that.
scuse me did i just hear jack black
scuse me did i just hear jack black
Sounded like it.... if so then hell yeah!
I just hope they give it decent PC support this time around, had to modify a shit ton of files to make the fov, graphics, and head bob playable.

Oh my god I love Spec Ops: The Line
I need to control hype but I can't
Oh shit Yager is developing it?
This is gonna be interesting!
Jack Black is gonna make this game even better
Awesome! A trailer that has nothing to do with the actual game itself and will disappoint me just like the first and the second! (I'm guessing Riptide isn't the second now?) Woooo!
Dead Island 1: Most Emotional zombie trailer ever
Dead Island 2: Goofiest zombie trailer ever
cant wait!
Dead Island 1: Most Emotional zombie trailer ever

And since it's being developed by the guys who turns Spec Ops from generic tactical shooter into The Line, this has serious potential for actually living up to Dead Island 1's trailer.
i really hope the game is a big jump from di1, that game sucked. and judging from the trailer it should be funnier and more enjoyable. i really hope its not just dead island 1 with a new map like the other game
All things considered, that trailer was fucking ace!

so wait until they show gameplay, which there will eventually be?
i don't understand why people have such a hard time understanding that a company's job is to make their game look good? no one's forcing you to form an opinion on this game right now, nor at any point in the future for that point
instead of bitching about a company doing their job, how about you just wait until there's actually gameplay before you start building up your own hype and forming your own ideas about what the game should be?
because this is literally what games have been lately, people building their own hype, wanting to pre-order ASAP because that "super cool awesome skin and exclusive mission!" then getting mad because the company, whose job is to make money, showed them a trailer that didn't represent the game
and of course, instead of being smart and waiting for the game to actually come out or at the very least see gameplay from it, people decide to form their dumb opinions that no one actually cares about before they even have a clue what kind of shit they're spewing
If we play as Jack Black I am buying this. Don't care if its crap or not.

It's being made by Yager? My hype levels have quintupled.
Seriously Spec Ops The Line was one of the best games I've ever played.
Cool trailer.
The first Dead Island was pretty fucking bad. Hopefully the new devs can make something good with this.
Cinematic trailer looks good. The game will probably be fucking awful.
after watching it a second time, i just realized that that was a silicone implant in his bicep and that it wasn't really his own muscle or some giant pus sac that fell off.

I agree with you all the way. It seems that even though some devs can be careless and lazy, the playerbase these days can be just as bad for having guns ready to point at devs for "evil things".
I have a personal dream, to go into the games industry, and create the games I've always loved my entire youth!
If I was a dev that managed to get a job at anywhere, say, Microsoft, would I get hateful PMs and Emails and Tweets because the company I worked for "killed Conker"?
I think Dead Island would have been a fun game if they had advertised it as a dumb zombie hack and slash, not a serious looking game. With this trailer and the possibility of Jack Black they may not be taking themselves seriously this time, and I really think it could be a fun game (if they remove the mundane weapon degradation mechanics and make it more like Dead Rising)

Hell Dead Island 1 was kinda fun as a "game to fuck around with friends".

every game is like that.
even battletoads.

I loved Dead Island 1 for that exact reason, never really cared about the storyline or the characters though. Just loved kicking zombies downstairs.
btw the deep silver homepage has splash art for di2, which apparently shows the 4 new survivors.

Excluding the ninja chick, they all look as bland and boring as the original cast
But then again it's not healthy to judge a book by it's cover
