The Islamist militants issued a statement describing how US institutions were "paralysed", the Statue of Liberty was closed and a fall in tourist numbers had hit shops, restaurants and hotels in the capital. "The American people should realise that their politicians play with their destinies as well as the destinies of other oppressed nations for the sake of their personal vested interests," the Taliban said. The insurgents accused "selfish and empty-minded American leaders" of taking US citizens' money "earned with great difficulty" and then "lavishly spending the same money in shedding the blood of the innocent and oppressed people". "Instead of sucking the blood of their own people... this money should be utilised for the sake of peace," they added. The US embassy in Kabul has said that it expects "to function normally in the short term" due to the shutdown, though its Twitter feed would not be regularly updated. Embassy press staff were not immediately available to comment on the rebels' statement. The Taliban, who were ousted from power in a US-backed offensive in 2001, often use their website to issue colourful verbal attacks on Washington and the Kabul government. About 57,000 US troops are deployed in Afghanistan, with most of them set to pull out by the end of the next year. The US shutdown has seen hundreds of thousands of workers sent home without pay after Congress failed to pass a budget for the 2014 fiscal year that began October 1.
http://news.yahoo.com/taliban-mock-us-over-government-shutdown-064323672.html
You know it's bad when the Taliban are mocking you for being so shit.
Hi
You know it's bad when the Taliban are mocking you for being so shit.
Exactly what I thought, a government that actively kills "infidels", dumb shit about education and such.
Hi
Hello Binladen34, how are you today?
accusing US politicians of "sucking the blood of their own people".
pretty much spot on
I'm pretty sure the entire United States kind of agrees at this point, but there's also not much we can do ourselves.
I'm pretty sure the entire United States kind of agrees at this point, but there's also not much we can do ourselves.
If we had the guts to do something, we would have.
Hello Binladen34, how are you today?
Doin' good. Sitting in my office, got my allah motivational poster on my door.
Good to hear they can differentiate the government from the people, and they do make a point. They're still assholes, though.
Most Americans are quite happy to continue bending over while their government fucks them in the ass; some even scream "harder, faster!"

While they're speaking the truth, they have no room to talk. In fact, they're even worse.
Oh cool! You got one too?
You have a nice few stunt doubles. Bravo!
pretty much spot on
Yeah. I wana join the taliban now!
Please, it's a slimdown.
They're not wrong though...
yeah i dont care how "right" you think their words are, this is highly hypocritical coming from a group that enacted its power via bloodshed and coerced people into not giving information to ISAF by beating their sons and raping their daughters.
I think I know who the guy on the left is in the image in the OP. If I remember correctly, he's a fairly decent human being, but fights for a cause that is viewed as unjust.
I think I know who the guy on the left is in the image in the OP. That's why religion in general still exists.
I can take everything the talaban has said and it also fits them perfectly. "sucking the blood of their own people" "oppressed nations for the sake of their personal vested interests," "selfish and empty-minded" Sound like any other group we know?
While I can agree with this statement, they need to look at themselves closer in the mirror before trying to look good.
"Looks like the best way to fuck America is to let it fuck itself." -The Taliban
Atleast our government didnt get ousted in 2001.
If we had the guts to do something, we would have.
If we had the guts to do something, we'd be labeled terrorists and be thrown in Guantanamo without a trial.
Taliban 2016
Says the group that called a little girl who survived getting shot in the head by them and continues to fight for equality a coward.
I never thought I'd agree with the Taliban.
