FYI, Zips, it launched worldwide today. It's surprising given the staggered releases of most triple-A titles recently.
He suicided then his helmet is put back on and he wakes up somewhere else? what the fuck? [editline]11:22AM[/editline] I haven't played bioshock but i rather play this one so i can be a big daddy :)
[sp]You get to be a Big Daddy in the First.[/sp]
._.
i love how you can pick little girls up and rape them! oh i mean kill them.
[sp]You get to be a Big Daddy in the First.[/sp]
Not exactly. It's more of dressing up as one.
This feels a lot like a simple retelling of the first game with just a couple of new gameplay mechanics. I'm beyond disappointed.
I still don't want to get this, the first one was good though.
also the graphics in the first game are actually better aswell............
I vehemently disagree with that statement. All you have to do is look at the character models, particularly the faces. In Bioshock 1, anytime you got a good look at someone's face, whether it be a Little Sister or Andrew Ryan himself, it looked pretty pathetically fake for a game made three years after Half Life 2. The scene with Ryan didn't even have his head or eyes face you properly, they were fixed to an exact point, and it felt more like watching a robot mannequin at Disney World than being involved in a conversation with a human being. Bioshock 2, after merely seeing the demo, has patched that problem up very well. This game wouldn't have the rather immense system requirements it does if the graphics hadn't been ramped up a great deal. It's just harder to tell given the sort of environment Rapture is.
I wish steam had let me preload this... Oh well, it's almost done downloading now!
Sadly bioshock 2 was as i expected, it's a cheap port, the multiplayer is alright, but it's very linear, you unlock stuff too easily and things get boring quick. Theres no dedicated servers, so the PC Gaming community won't swarm all over it, and as for modding, there isn't any. The reasons they put forward for not doing this was "We chose to spend the time we had creating a solid game foundation and unfortunately that did not include LAN play or dedicated servers." I am very disappointed in this game, i really hope none of the other games coming out will follow suit, first modern warfare, and now bishock 2, if other developers hop on the "lazy" train then this might just be the end of "PC Gaming" for the future. Note: PC Gaming is in quotes as PC Gaming is unique, what modernwarfare have done is say "hey, screw the pc gamers, just give them a console port" ---Rant Over--- None the less, the single player of bioshock is remarkable, if you liked the first one, you will love the second one!
The opening looks awesome. And in Bioshock, I come more for the story and the atmosphere and not for multiplayer anyway, so that doesn't bother me.
I want it pretty badly, but I wanna finish Bioshock (yeah, I still haven't finished it :frown:). It can wait...sorta tight on money anyways (gotta save up for Heavy Rain).
Just tried the MP (I'm playing on PC)... It's painful. Animatons are horrid and it's CLEARLY made by another dev team. They didn't even attempt to sync up the options menus between SP and MP even. =/
Shit, that sounds bad, sorry.
The British little sister is so cute ^_^
Single player is great! Multiplayer is ok..
For this game, your really buying it for singleplayer, them multiplayer is something thats more of a cheap console port, it's "alright" but not really something worth mentioning in this game. Ive already unlocked everything, within a few hours on the multiplayer myself.
I'll probably get it when its cheaper. Or if someone else in my family gets it on the 360.
