It's eye-opening to see what deeply personal secrets or insights into your life you give Google every time you make a search. "You can download all of your saved search history to see a list of the terms you've searched for," a Google support page says. "This gives you access to your data when and where you want."

For the brave who want to view their history -- and even delete it, there's a quick way to gain access to your data. Visit history.google.com and log in with your Google account. It's important to note that Google says only account holders can see their data. From there, click through a calendar view to explore what you searched for on any given date. While the content can be surprising, the frequency of how often one relies on Google search is also striking.
http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/live-embarrassing-google-search-made/story?id=30476057
This is pretty common knowledge. Account Settings > Account History > Manage History > Enjoy. Or by the URL.

i disabled it ages ago. its good to have everything integrated into one place with chrome but if you use sync and someone gets into your google account then they can download your entire browser password list, view your entire search history, your location history if you have an android phone w/ location on etc. if you use sync make sure you set up a separate passphrase for it so if someone hacks you they dont hit the jackpot of personal details.
It does not go any further than October 2014 for me nevermind that was my newer account
instantly deleted all [editline]22nd April 2015[/editline] i had shit from when i was in 9th grade and cheating during french class
oh wow i found a facepunch flockdraw thread where i was bitching about some people using the name "ROFLBURGER" and yiffing eachotehr
Never had this enabled. I would rather have dick pics floating around on the internet than my search history saved
This is pretty common knowledge. Account Settings > Account History > Manage History > Enjoy. Or by the URL.
Ha. I've just been going through mine out of interest, many years ago I googled 'Feng Shui dish'... I thought it was food! What an idiot.
I like that the stock image was described in such detail on the site
I couldn't keep living that way
My history only reaches barely three years back which is a shame.
Does anyone know a good software to display the location history archive you can download? It's in .json but I don't know how to import it into any mapping software.
Huh i guess i disabled this a long time ago.
who was in my bedroom my search history pretty solidly indicates I'm a 50 year old architect who's trying to figure out what their anime nerd kid is talking about from time to time
I like that the stock image was described in such detail on the site
You have alt attributes for the blind, why not recycle them for the seeing? ABC is pretty accessible as a site.

Jokes on them, I do all of my embarrassing shit in incognito mode.
instantly deleted all [editline]22nd April 2015[/editline] i had shit from when i was in 9th grade and cheating during french class
Uh oh... I have more than five google accounts to delete stuff from it seems like :quagmire:
No History here, Gord
No history for me, I turned that shit off pretty soon. The only history I have is videos I watch on youtube.
Even creepier, IMO, is the location history. Before I disabled them, Google not only knew what I searched for, but where I was at all times.

It's kind of neat to see where i've been in the past 4-5 years since I've had my android phone. I saw when I first went to college and just how damn lost I was around town for a few months. Then all the various trips i've taken across states which was cool to see. But then again, they know exactly where I've been and what times I've been at those places for 4-5 years :v: Also search history was rather amusing, going all the way back to where I was a freshmen in high school and seeing my daily routine of waking up in the morning around 6am, looking for porn, fapping, going to class, coming back around 4pm and looking up WoW stuff. Then there would be a huge gap of time from searches till 10pm or so for more porn.. Man I had an exciting high school career.
So this doesn't include searches done in incognito mode, right?
I have history all the way back to 2011, How do I delete all of it? It only lets me delete a page at a time [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline] Nevermind I found out how, its the gear icon in the top right
So this doesn't include searches done in incognito mode, right?
It won't show anything you did while logged out of your Google account.
I can click on any day of heavy search history and it's all class struggles
they even track what apps you launch on your android phone every day [t]http://i.imgur.com/iF7nOVH.png[/t]
