***If this is in the wrong section please move!*** So today I got home and decided to start my English paper. I forgot the short story which I was suppose to use as reference, so I improvised. I flipped open my laptop and opened Firefox to begin research. As I started getting info on the story I heard some slight static in my speakers. Nothing new, so I continued getting the desired info. A few minutes in I started getting a lot more static. This time I was hearing a woman's voice within the static. I then proceeded to unplug the speakers thinking it was an advertisement on the website, and I didn't want any more distractions. Thinking I was free from the obnoxious noise I then continued the first paragraph of the English paper. Then I heard it again! This time It was clear and to the point. "Our beauty salon provides the most comfortable service as well as...". At first I was like WTF. Then listening closer I realized it was a radio station. Because of the discovery I am here as of now listening in hopes of hearing something else. Like what radio station it may be. I know that I'm not the only one that has had this bizarre experience, but it just seems weird that it would pick up a radio signal when my speakers are clearly unplugged and FAR from any radio tower (that I know of). tl;dr- possible radio signals advertising beauty salons through my (unplugged) speakers Here are my speakers http://www.boyntontech.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=50&products_id=1576
It's just your speakers picking up radio signals
This isn't new, it's happened a lot. I've heard advertisements through my PSP once. maybe i was just hearing things, but through the computer, yes it's happened before.
I heard a fucking monkey screech and what sounded like a bunch of truckers talking - I got it looped.
Or it was an ad. [editline]04:17PM[/editline] Although it is possible for this to happen, so maybe it isn't an ad. I remember when I had uber old speakers a few years ago, every once in a while we heard random voices in them when the computer was either off or on in sleep.
Your poorly insulated speakers are probably picking up radio interference from a nearby radio tower, repeater, or ham radio operator.
Your speakers are capable of launching nuclear missiles.
yes because uvb-76 broadcasts beauty salon advertisements.
weird radio sounds = ALIEN SIGNALS!!!!
yes because uvb-76 broadcasts beauty salon advertisements.
thats the joke...
