THIS THREAD IS NOW ABOUT ALL MY UPCOMING LEARNING PAINTINGS 25.12.2009------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My first ever drawing with tablet Thread: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=867643 26.12.2009------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Second one. Looks nicer but the perspective, or lack thereof is really painful. For perspective one chooses an horizont line and then places vanishing point(s) along it. This city could look nicer with one point perspective. Here, let's place the horizont, vanishing point and pull all houses' lines to it accordingly. There. This is one point perspective on a horizont that's tad too high, but I'm bringing the point across. If the building is tilted 45' or so, just use a two point perspective, which is exacly the same but with two separate points along the horizont and align lines. Is there someone better in perspective/teatching to flame my stupid ass then go ahead, please elaborate. also keep this stuff in one thread.
Thanks, I know about the perspective. I wanted it to look little abstract and cartoony (some buildings are inclined for example) ps. The horizon line is below the buildings, we can't see the roof.
i think the buildings look nicer, not in perspective.
The third picture is awesome.
well I do adore the signature in the last image. You got good typography going on there
Here's some examples I put together: One Point: Two Point:
You're useful. And very so.

Smoke should look more like the smoke coming out of the very left chimney.
I really like all your drawings. The building one reminds of World of Goo.
