Where's your fucking helmet! "Sometimes the bike lane isn't the safest place." It would be if you wore your helmet and maybe a reflector belt/vest on dark rainy days!
That one at the end ahahaha. I wish I'd seen the aftermath of him biking into the police car. [editline]9th June 2011[/editline] Yeah, because he can totally stay in the bike lane when there's roadworks there. What's he supposed to do, bunny hop over them?
His skill level in bunny hopping isn't high enough, he'll have to go around only then.
At least the cop didn't taze him for recording him. He was actually really fucking chill for an NYPD cop.
In which case he's not in the bike lane and is breaking the law!
Well then he'll just hop off his bike and carry it around.
In which case he's jaywalking.
Not if he walks on the sidewalk. Why are you being difficult? BESIDES, doesn't change the fact he should wear a helmet and reflector belt/vest.

Crashing in to the police car at the end was gold.
I hope the cop at least ticketed the guy double parking in the bike lane after the protagonist pointed it out.
He brought a pretty god damn valid point. I've gone bike riding plenty of times around NYC, and there's always: - Some douche/s lounging on the lane - Faded/chipping paint for the lane itself, making it difficult to notice - Parked cars on it - Trashcans/garbage (even trash bags) standing/rolled (or spilled open) over onto it - Dog shit on it - Pylons/police tape/etc blocking the way. Or, in general, there's always something obstructing the lane and forcing cyclists to go into the road or even on the sidewalk.
I have not laughed harder at anything recently then this video.
Ahaha fuck this is awesome
:golfclap:

This isn't Tea Sippin' England where Health and Safety make you wear ridiculous amounts of useless HighVis clothing the moment you step outside of your house Hell, in Florida it's legal to ride your motorcycle without a helmet Plenty of people ride Bicycles here, and every year someone gets run over and killed. It's never the biker's fault though. People here drive like idiots. At least on the barrier islands there's a little sidewalk made for bikers with a large gap between it and the road

This guy gives me some sort of Weird Al-vibe.
Not if he walks on the sidewalk. Why are you being difficult? BESIDES, doesn't change the fact he should wear a helmet and reflector belt/vest.
He might just aswell wear a rave party.

Not wearing one isn't worth cracking your head open. :eng101:

He said the bike line isn't the safest place because there often are obstacles on it. How the FUCK would wearing a helmet make it safer in comparison to any other line? Meaning, the other line is still safer because even with the helmet on, the obstacles are still on the bike line. It doesn't change shit. And the rest of your posts? People should get their helmets and vests on, use the bike lane, and carry the fucking bike around the obstacles instead of just clearing the fucking bike line? How does that make sense? How is even wearing a helmet relevant?
And this is our bike lane: I think there's a problem with New York. The lanes are too fucking small.
Singapore truly is a cyclists paradise. The only places you'll find bike lanes like that here are at public parks.
