Great news! GOG is a great service, but it could definitely use more mainstream games.
Great news! GOG is a great service, but it could definitely use more mainstream games.
Ikr it's almost as if they mostly sell good old games or something.
Ikr it's almost as if they mostly sell good old games or something.
Steam could use some competition. GOG doesn't suck anywhere near as much as the other competitors.
Oh god, Railroad Tycoon 3 and Freedom Force were two of my favourite games as a kid.
Steam could use some competition. GOG doesn't suck anywhere near as much as the other competitors.
Plus they have the advantage of being DRM free, making backing games up piss easy and easily usable on other machines away from home.
Already own XCOM classic but I might buy it again just because.
Oh god, Railroad Tycoon 3 and Freedom Force were two of my favourite games as a kid.
I never understood how Railroad Tycoon 3 worked as a kid :v: Always had trouble actually making a business. I always ended up cheating with the editor to get the best stuff. I really liked to edit the cities though.

My favourite thing was going into the editor and making ridiculously long bridges and rollercoaster-like railways across mountains and stuff.
Ikr it's almost as if they mostly sell good old games or something.
there's a reason they changed name to GOG
GOG definitely need to get bigger, one day I would love to see some gog pre-paid cards.
GOG definitely need to get bigger, one day I would love to see some gog pre-paid cards.
despite the fact they don't save card data, I would really like this too.

So does that mean the XCOM games will work with modern computers without something like OpenXCOM?
So does that mean the XCOM games will work with modern computers without something like OpenXCOM?
I imagine it comes preconfigured with DOSBox, just like the Steam version. If someone can confirm otherwise, that'd be great.
So does that mean the XCOM games will work with modern computers without something like OpenXCOM?
It should, but I like OpenXCOM since it's built for modern OSes, plus it has keyboard shortcuts and you can import saves from the DOS version. There's support for TFTD as well.

I hope someday they'll add the Mechwarrior series.
I hope someday they'll add the Mechwarrior series.
I'd dig this, but I'm hoping the old Siege games make it one day (Earth/Starseige)
