“Roses are red, violets are blue, your pin number 6852,” read a tweet on the site as “NSA pickup lines” trended worldwide on Sunday. Posts sarcastically referenced NSA intrusions as they envisaged how the agency might flirt with an unsuspecting user.
While some users proclaimed themselves “great listeners” using the hashtag, others sinisterly declared to the reader: “You come here often” – a slightly creepier take on the old line “do you come here often?” stating the answer to the question themselves.
Others allowed the opportunity for the blossoming relationship between NSA and a user to be more two-sided, actively asking: “Do you come here more often than our records indicate?”

Some “bribes” for dates were also proposed, with one “agent” suggesting that his “subject” might like to sit down with him and a bottle of wine, and “go through your ex’s email.”
It's Putin's personal soapbox, so anything that says "fuck America" is relevant.

Jesus was also a wizard so I'm pretty sure that was a little bit in his favor.
"Mind if I invade your privacy?"
Baby, my phone taps might be unwarranted, but my love for you ain't.
"I'm gonna violate you right baby"

Although Snowden isn't a Wizard, and I think he's a pretty big deal too.
"I already have your number."

No its more a case of; Even if we establish a really good system that doesn't use this infrastructure unjustly, with a good leader that works as he should, there will always be room for another leader who will fuck it up. If we set out all the toys to be monopolized by one entity, be it a government or corporation, it is just a matter of time before history repeats itself and some character of low moral fiber gets into the control box. No one thing should have all that power, because then there is nothing left to oppose it. You guys laugh because you think I think we live in 1984, I don't. What I think is that all the technology and infrastructure is being put into place where a single catalyzing event could cause our state of human rights to collapse irreparably. We are marching triumphantly into the future with an almost idealistic viewpoint, the sheer notion that this leaves footholds for corruptions seems to be lost on you guys. But whatever, just keep straw-manning, that's what gets the zings anyways.
That would really suck if your pin number really was 6852

Much like any real protest against the NSA outside of these idiotic twitter 'campaigns'.

But I'm pretty sure when all these leaks started, people did actually assemble and protest outside the NSA building.

250 people isn't anything of major significance.
250 people isn't anything of major significance.
So if it's less than some arbitrary number you choose, then it is not a real protest. Gotcha
[editline]25th August 2013[/editline]
also
In San Francisco, protesters walked from City Hall to the Embarcadero with signs that read "Legalize the U.S. Constitution" and "I refuse to sacrifice my liberty for security." Police estimated there were at least 250 people protesting, but said the group was growing larger throughout the day.
and
The loosely coordinated activist group helped organize protests in more than 80 U.S. cities using online message boards and Twitter. There were demonstrations in New York City, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Los Angeles. In Utah, protesters gathered near the new $1.5 billion NSA data center, which is scheduled to open later this year.
So yeah, cherrypicking an article doesn't work.
