MOLINE, Ill.—
The husband of presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has reportedly denied his clinic offers reparative therapy but a hidden camera investigation may show otherwise.
Reparative Therapy is a technique meant to cure gay people of their homosexuality according to the organization Truth Wins Out. The organization armed a 26-year-old staffer with a hidden camera and had that man pose as a patient at the Bachmann and Associates clinic.
The hidden camera video reportedly demonstrates Marcus Bachmann’s clinic practices reparative therapy.
ABC News planned to report on reparative therapy and on Mrs. Bachmann’s “involvement in the anti-gay movement” Monday evening, July 11, 2011.
In advance of that broadcast, News8 anchor RaeChelle Davis asked Mrs. Bachmann about the potential controversy surrounding her husband’s clinic. To watch that video, click the player above or click here.

Words cannot express the rage I feel towards the Bachmanns.
Title is misleading. It was not Michelle Bachmann declining to answer for her husband, but her husband himself.
I hope the Bachmanns get mauled by a flaming bear.

Did you watch the video in the link?
Maybe Gaydar will take back their membership when they see this.

Oh, well, I'm sorry. staticman has a tendency of Sensationalist Headlines.
The Bachmann family needs serious mental help. They appear to have a debilitating case of homophobia.
They don't believe in Mental health and the mental health people don't believe in their techniques.
Can't the dumb bitch just answer the question instead of going on about something completely irrelevant to the conversation?

No. She really is incapable of it.
She makes me rage so hard. She knows it's an issue and she to much of a you know what to answer it.
She shouldn't have to answer this. Keep her family and her husband out of politics. Do the same with all politicians, their family life isn't any of our business to inquire about. I understand the attraction of this story, a very anti gay person has a husband who is going to counseling, but I don't think that is anybody's business to get involved in.
Edit:
The video cleared up my misinterpretation/bad reading, so I guess her husband is running this. I thought it was about her husband going to this kind of therapy which I wouldn't care about seeing how it would be of his own free will. Is it something I don't agree with? Yes. But I don't care if people are choosing to do this and aren't forcing people into this.
You see. You have to include her husband on this because they're both trying to do the same horrible thing and are in the same line.
She's stupid and I could explain why she's stupid, but it'd take too long so I'll just call her stupid.
I hope the Bachmanns get mauled by a flaming bear.
Flaming as in actual flames or a very camp bear? Either would work well here.

It's extremely important that this gets brought to light because people who are "choosing" to go here are just repressing their true nature and will end up even more miserable.
I can bet you anything that the only people going to these kinds of clinics are gay kids that have been bullied their entire life, yelled at by their republican parents and told by all their family friends how they're a cancer that's killing america and that they should stop choosing to be gay, until they snap and finally go to one of these places.

I don't think I should have any say in what people are choosing to do. Whether they are repressing or embracing their true nature isn't important to me. If voluntary therapy makes someone more miserable, it wouldn't be my responsibility to try to stop these people. If I felt strongly about this issue there would be no reason to not inform people, but there's a point to how far you try to inform the person or public.
You're making a straw man in the second paragraph. It's not that this doesn't happen, but you have to consider other groups in your argument. Would a person who was supported by most everyone about his sexuality but personally felt like he'd rather be straight be wrong in choosing to go to this? My guess is that you're going to say "yes because they are repressing their true nature", but I don't really see the issue with someone choosing to change something about them. It's not any of my business.
Sexuality is something people feel very strong about and many believe that it is wrong for people to try to change it. I believe that people are entitled to try to change anything about them that they want, no matter how illogical. The success rate isn't a factor in whether or not I believe someone should be able to try to change themselves. I find this issue to be similar to people who are against plastic surgery, certain diet trends, body modifications, and taking drugs. I find these issues to be similar because their opponents claim "these people are going against nature" in that their body wasn't designed to be like that therefore they shouldn't try to change themselves unless it is necessary. With the plastic surgery one I could give a few cliche examples of the girl who was made fun of constantly for her nose. Whether or not I'm in support of people modifying or attempting to modify themselves isn't important because I shouldn't have an opinion on their choice. There is plenty of reason to be against these types of practices, but I don't think it is any of my business to get involved in. Even if there was a treatment that could change your skin color from black to white or from white to black, I would believe people would have full right to go through with the treatment.
Just to highlight a major issue at play here, this kind of therapy is controversial because it goes against the thought sexuality is something that is predefined and can't be changed. So this is why many find the therapy offensive. It does differ from the examples I've given because those are all things people argue shouldn't be changed.
you can see her breathing change in the video, wow she's nervous

The problem isn't that people are choosing it, or the "therapy", it's the fact that being gay is not a proven medical condition or mental disorder and he's using thousands of dollars from Medicaid to pay for it anyway, he was able to get the money since he said he didn't do reparative therapy, and turns out he is. Not to mention that the bitch Bachmann constantly talks about how much she hates Medicaid and how it needs to be shut down.
